Who else felt like this year simply flew by? Just wanted to take a moment to reflect and express my gratitude to those who have entrusted with their own brands/projects. Your support is the fuel that pushes MAYUMI COLLECTIVE to continue. What started off as a couple of drafts in my notebook has evolved to a platform that connects with emerging brands across the world. I look forward to the new year with even more exciting collaborations that will inspire and challenge our own design thinking and approach.

Had the chance to explore Dubai’s historical district where you can view beautifully restored Emirati houses featuring their iconic Barjeels or wind towers. It was a poetic display of resilience and simplicity. Was amazed at how the clean lines and minimal details held so much purpose to protect its inhabitants during harsh weather conditions of the arid environment.

It’s been a while since I’ve been on here. Currently on a creative exploration journey wherein I’m learning new styles and techniques. A challenge I’ve been facing lately is finding time for my mind to wander creatively without a strategic brief or deadline. As the summer draws to a close, I’ve decided to carve out a few days to hit the pause button and simply create and go back to the basics… where I built this page as a creative outlet. I hope you too, are embracing brief yet impactful moments of wonder during the lulls of summer.
