As someone that has worked in one of the toughest corporate industries, with red tape equal to the public sector, at a global level for 20 years.🙌 One of the core principles of any agency I ran had to be that it was EASY, no wait, AN ABSOLUTE PLEASURE 😁to do business with so I always offer whatever I’m asked to deliver up in multiple different ways, once off payment, hourly rate etc.
BUT almost every time a prospect chooses a retainer, which may still be flexible but it is a commitment at the end of the day so it surprised me that so many jumped into that so I thought about why…
1. Cost-Effectiveness: Retainer contracts are usually a cost-effective way to hire a marketing agency, as it is usually more affordable than paying for individual projects.
2. Relationship Building: A retainer agreement helps to build a strong relationship between the client and the agency, as they are able to work together consistently over a long period of time.
3. Flexibility: Retainer agreements provide both parties with the flexibility to adjust the scope of the services and the pricing as needed.
4. Consistency: Retainer contracts help to provide consistency in the services provided by the agency, as they are familiar with the client's goals and objectives.
5. Predictability: Retainer agreements help to provide predictability in terms of budgeting and planning, as the client knows in advance what the cost will be for the services.
Marketing retainers really are a great solution for small to medium-sized businesses! ☑️You get every marketing skill set from content creator to graphic designer, to multi-media guru, to website and SEO specialists for less than paying for a single employee. 😄Plus you take away the hassle of managing and add on the fact that they are led by experts and you can scale them up and down as you need them it’s a no-brainer to allow you to focus on what’s at the heart of your business.👐
