Not everyone has people they can fall back on. Not everyone grew up with parents who noticed when something was wrong, or family who made them feel safe enough to fall apart. Some people learned how to comfort themselves at a very young age. They learned how to hide their feelings, deal with things quietly, and carry pain without expecting anyone to come help them with it.
And the sad part is, after a while they get so used to handling everything alone that they stop reaching out altogether. They celebrate their wins quietly, go through hard days silently, and convince themselves they’re asking for too much just by needing support.
A lot of people walking around looking “strong” are really just people who never had the choice to be anything else.
If you’re that person or you know someone as such then shake 🫨 them and congratulate them. It’s not easy but trust me tomorrow is going to be better 🫵.
