There have been so many times I was sure a post would do well -
Strong hook, clean visuals, solid message… and then? It flopped.

Meanwhile, a version I wasn’t fully convinced about?
Did 3x better.

That’s when I stopped assuming and started testing.

Now, I test everything -
Visuals, captions, audio, even the time of posting.
Because sometimes, the only way to know what works…
is to watch what doesn’t.

Lesson learned:
Marketing without A/B testing isn’t strategy.
It’s just guess work.

I’ve been in that position - watching others land roles I knew I was more than qualified for.

And yes, it was frustrating.
But here’s what that season taught me:

Talent alone isn’t enough if people can’t see it clearly.

My portfolio had the work - but it didn’t have the story.
No context. No narrative. No outcomes that connected the dots.

Once I shifted the way I presented it -

Three years married today.

People ask, “How do you know you’ve found the one?”

You don’t know because life is always perfect.
You know because even on the messy days, you still choose each other.
Because your nervous system feels safe around them.
Because silence doesn’t feel awkward, it feels like home.
Because problems become “us vs the problem” not “me vs you.”
Because your wins feel louder when they’re in the room.
Because their love doesn’t shrink you, it steadies you.

I found the one who makes ordinary days feel lighter, and hard days feel possible.

Happy 3rd anniversary to my favourite human. 🤍

In my early days, I followed “industry tone guidelines” too strictly.
Clean, safe, professional… and painfully bland.

It took me a while (and several scroll-past posts) to realise:
Blending in isn’t strategy. It’s invisibility.

The moment I let brands sound like themselves - imperfect, sharp, real - engagement went up and so did brand recall.

People don’t connect with perfect. They connect with personality.

Someone once DMed me:
“How do you know when a client is toxic?”

Honestly? You feel it before you define it.

→ When every suggestion is met with suspicion.
→ When they rewrite your work without understanding it.
→ When they expect replies at 11 PM and “quick edits” on weekends.
→ When you leave every call feeling small, second-guessing your skills.

That’s not feedback. That’s control.
And it’s not part of the job.

Boundaries aren’t unprofessional - they’re essential.
Because your peace isn’t a luxury. It’s a condition for doing great work.
And protecting it? That’s not rude. That’s responsible.
