Why I proposed a full funnel instead of just running ads..!
Most people think running Meta Ads means:
Create an ad. Set a budget. Press go. Wait for customers. That’s not a campaign. That’s a gamble. When Memento Bites came to me this month, a home bakery selling NYC-style cookies in Dubai, the easy thing would have been, Give me AED 500 and I’ll run you some ads. I didn’t do that. I proposed a three stage funnel instead.
Here’s what I built and why:
STAGE 1 - AWARENESS
Make them know you exist. Target: Cold audience, Females 18-40 in Dubai
People who love desserts, baking, food content. Ad objective: Reach / Video Views
Goal: Get the brand in front of as many relevant people as possible. We’re not asking for anything here. Just showing up. Consistently, Visually, Memorably.
STAGE 2 - CONSIDERATION
Make them want to know more, Target: Warm audience, People who engaged with Stage 1. People who visited the Instagram profile Ad objective: Engagement / Traffic Goal: Get them to interact, visit the profile, see the product properly. This stage is about building the relationship. Not selling yet.
STAGE 3 - CONVERSION
Make them buy. Target: Hot audience, People who engaged multiple times, People who clicked but didn’t order, Ad objective: WhatsApp Messages, Goal: Direct conversation that converts to a cookie order. Now we ask for the sale, but only from people who already know, like and trust the brand.
THE BUDGET SPLIT
Total: AED 500
Stage 1: AED 200
widest reach, coldest audience
Stage 2: AED 150
narrower, warmer audience
Stage 3: AED 150
smallest, hottest audience
WHY THIS WORKS
Asking a stranger to buy your cookies on the first interaction is like proposing on a first date. Most people say no. Not because they don’t like cookies. Because they don’t know you yet. The funnel warms them up first.
Then closes. This is performance marketing, not boosting, not guessing.
A structured system with a clear job at each stage. Campaign goes live this weekend.
