FACT: in the UAE everyone prefers to use PR rather than marketing. Why so? Just because the terminologies are common here for public relations rather than marketing and promotion.

“Our recent PR strategy shows that…”
“PR agency provide …”
Does it mean public relation as a part of marketing? YES and NO.
We are old-school guys graduated from marketing universities, where PR is considered as one of the tools of marketing channels.
Can PR be sufficient at the project launch stage? We have not seen so positive impact. Marketing should start with strategy, not with channel activation.
Handling businesses in multinational environment, the UAE promotional strategies should be firstly SET up right, secondly activated in holistic manner.
