In 2022, Israel's High Court upheld the designation of over 3,000 hectares in Masafer Yatta (southern West Bank) as a military “firing zone.” This decision places over 1,000 Palestinian residents at risk of forcible transfer.

Under international law, the forcible transfer of protected populations from occupied territory is prohibited. The communities in this area have lived there for generations and rely on the land for their livelihoods.

This case highlights the broader use of military zoning in the West Bank and its impact on civilian life.

Die Hitze steigt. Im Südsudan hatten vor vier Wochen die Schulen geschlossen zu heiß war es zu unterrichten bei 42 Grad. Aufgrund der Abholzung in manchen Gebieten wird es sogar noch heißer. Viele Menschen können sich so auch keine Gräser mehr leisten, die normalerweise für den Bau von Dächern verwendet wurden. Sie müssen auf Blechdächer zurückgreifen, die Hitze im eigenem Haus steigt also auch noch mehr an. Die Auswirkungen des Klimawandels in den ärmsten Ländern der sind oftmals anders als wir sie uns vorstellen, sie sind für die Menschen teilweise kaum erträglich.

And there is more Frontex on the boarders, not saving lifes at sea...

I'm sick of watching this show.
