When Lariken and I first met it was as bitter rivals as we were competing to assert dominance over Adelaide’s freestyle battle scene. The two of us legit hated each other, however after a few heated battles cooler heads prevailed and some mutual friends convinced us to berry the hatchet.
Fast forward a few years and while we didn’t kick it regularly, we were good enough mates that I went to his album launch. Before going I listened to his album and upon hearing it I was blown away by the production, the reaction further amplified at the show when he told me he produced it himself.
From there we started working on music which resulted in him producing a significant portion of ‘Braille’, that further led to us performing all over the country along with our brother DJ Prospeks.
Jump forward a few more years and not only am I proud to call this dude one of my best mates, tomorrow I release my best album to date and he produced it start to Finnish.
The beats on ‘Saviour Self’ are second to none and unlike anything people have heard from him before. I genuinely believe this album will stand the test of time and a large part of that is dew to Larry’s production.
