Still buzzing after attending this year’s AGDA Annual ✨
An incredibly enjoyable and insightful day, hearing from some amazing voices in the industry — including speakers like Ellena Mills-Stainer (Chief Design Officer) and Trent Michael (Head of Design) from Howatson+Company, Creatik’s Kylie Gould (Founder), and HERO’s Founder and Creative Chairman Ben Reid (and many others!).
Events like the AGDA Annual are such an important reminder of the value in stepping outside your day-to-day and immersing yourself in the wider creative community. Not only do you deepen your own practice, but you also gain a broader understanding of design beyond your immediate discipline — seeing how different areas intersect, challenge, and inspire one another.
From thoughtful talks to honest insights, it’s always inspiring to hear incredible talent and leading studios share their journeys — from design processes to case studies and lived experiences. Whether you’re a freelancer or a Head of Design, there’s always something to take away.
Equally important is the opportunity to connect — building relationships, exchanging ideas, and being part of a community that continues to push the industry forward while supporting and inspiring others along the way.
