Luke Hunter Media has evolved a lot over the years, and my website has finally caught up...

It’s been completely rebuilt to better reflect where we are today, covering automotive and business photography, content creation, event promotion and management, social media marketing, and now... website development.

If you haven’t checked it out yet, have a look around:

And if you’ve got a project in mind, I’d love to hear about it.

AI event posters are everywhere now, and they pretty much all look the same. That’s a problem.

If your poster looks generic, your event can start to feel generic too. It weakens your branding, makes your event less memorable, and stops you from building a real presence as an organiser.

The good news is you don’t need a huge budget to do it better.

Here are three cheap options:
1. Canva
Probably the cheapest and most capable design tool you can use. There are heaps of event poster templates, fonts and elements you can tweak to make something that actually feels like your event.

2. Real event photos
Use images from your past events. It shows people what to expect and gives your poster a genuine feel. Ask a photographer who has been along before. They might ask for a small fee, and honestly, that’s fair. It takes time, energy and skill to capture events properly.

3. Fiverr
Fiverr is full of freelance designers and artists at different price points. You can scroll through styles and find someone who suits the vibe of your event. I’ve used it a few times over the years for major events I’ve run, and it can be a great option.

Would I recommend this for big national-level events? Probably not.

There are some seriously talented people in the automotive scene who do incredible work, and at that level it’s worth investing in the right people.

But for smaller shows, cruises, cars and coffee events, and local meets, there are plenty of affordable ways to make your event poster look unique.

Your poster should feel like your event.

Not just another prompt.

The best sign your socials are working is when people talk about them offline.
One of the most interesting bits of feedback from this client was not in the analytics.

It was this:
People were stopping him in the street and at the river on the weekend to tell him how good the socials looked.

That tells you the content was doing more than performing online.

It was making the business more visible, more recognisable, and more memorable in everyday life. That kind of brand lift matters, especially for local businesses.

Because the right content does not just get reach.
It changes how often people notice you, remember you, and talk about you.

🔨That is the kind of momentum Hammer Down Creative helps build.

What can the right content strategy do for an automotive business in 90 days?
Here’s a snapshot from one of the brands I worked on recently:

164.4K views
790 content interactions
1.6K link clicks
2.3K Facebook visits
150 new follows

This was not random posting and hoping for the best.
It came from building content around what the audience actually responds to:

🔨Technical education
🔨Workshop credibility
🔨Product-focused posts
🔨Enthusiast content
🔨Strong visuals

Good social media should do more than just fill the feed. It should get attention, build trust, and give people a reason to take the next step.
That’s exactly what Hammer Down Creative is built to do.

If your business has the credibility but your socials are not showing it properly, let’s fix that.

The first 6 months of going out on my own, freelancing social media and content for automotive brands, has been wild. 🤯

We’ve helped create millions of views, tens of thousands of website clicks, and who knows how much revenue for the companies we’ve worked with.

Parts manufacturers. Detailers. Events. Engine builders. Paint shops. Auction houses. Parts resellers. Magazines. You name it, we’ve probably had a camera, keyboard, or strategy session pointed at it.

Right now, we’re working with one company that has 4 different brands all connected under the same umbrella. We launched social media for one of those brands from scratch, which is always a daunting call. New page, new identity, new audience, no safety net. But with the right strategy, consistent content, and a clear direction, it’s now kicking goals.

Another brand came to us like a seriously broken-down project car:
Think early-2000s S*x Spec Magna. Was cool once. Maybe even ahead of its time. But now? Bit of rust. Dated interior. A few weird mods that haven’t aged well. And most importantly, trust that needed rebuilding.

That kind of work doesn’t happen overnight. You don’t just slap a new logo on it and call it restored. You rebuild it properly. Piece by piece. Post by post. Conversation by conversation.

We also took on a stint with Chryslers On The Murray in the lead-up to the show. The biggest automotive event in the region and the largest Chrysler show in the Southern Hemisphere.
They took a gamble with a new venue, and we helped build the marketing pillars to support that move.
One of the best bits of feedback? “When you started, entries shot off.”
Can’t ask for much better than that. And yes, we’ll be back with them again.

So while we haven’t posted much about Hammer Down Creative itself, we’ve been busy doing the work. Now we’ve got a couple of openings coming up for June. 🔨

If your business, event, or brand needs more than random posts and crossed fingers, let’s have a chat.

A quick one for small businesses, event organisers and brands.

Creative work does not start when someone turns up with a camera.
It starts in the messages, the planning, the questions, the concept, the timing, the positioning, the shot list, the audience, the goal, and the reason the content needs to exist in the first place.

The shoot is only the visible part.
That is why clear scope, clear budget and clear confirmation matter.

If you are asking someone to help shape how your business or event shows up online, that is not just “a quick video” or “a couple of posts.”

That is strategy, experience and ex*****on rolled into one.

Good creatives are not hard to deal with because they ask questions or talk about budget early.

They are trying to make sure the job is worth doing properly

👉🏽 If you want content that has a job to do, not just something to post, let’s talk.

From all the data I’ve collected over the last few years running social media campaigns, it actually makes perfect sense why Bilsons drops a new flavour every few weeks…
And why all the car raffle companies are constantly announcing new cars.

Meta absolutely loves new announcements… when it’s done the right way.

Fresh = reach.
New = attention.

But only if it actually means something to your audience.

Spam it and you get ignored.

Do it properly and it works every time. 👀
