I've been quiet on here for a while, but there are plenty of reasons why, including an interstate move in July, a busy Christmas with my parents, a busy New Year with Ashley's family, and then this...

On my return I was busy with the "Extended Family" camp offered to vulnerable families and children in our local area. Predominantly, this camp serves foster children, their carers and extends to our families in the community. My heart is so full I think it could overflow, and I loved every moment I shared this week with our kids. It is a great reminder that the needs in our community are many.

There are too many highlights to list, but some include:
- Teaching a 10 year old boy to swim who had never had a swimming lesson in his life - Giving confidence to young women through basic gym coaching - Helping toddlers to learn how to bounce on the airtrack and then holding hands and bouncing together - and - all the conversations helping remind these children that they belong, they are loved and they are special.

I'll be posting more about my time "at camp" this week, but wanted to wish you all a great new year full of possibility, strength and focus, for the important tasks at hand for you this year. Remember, you are loved, and you have value.

The best feeling to be nominated for an SA Woman Award for 2022, and feeling honestly very teary having received these beautiful words alongside my nomination:

Which zone do you work in most of the time?

⏰ The Drudgery Zone are tasks that you really hate where you are not working in flow. Generally they are not things you enjoy doing. Sometimes they are important things to master to get to the next level.

⏰ The Disinterest Zone is for tasks you have already mastered but are not interested in completing in the short or long term. (For me, bookkeeping). These tasks can be outsourced or delegated, once you know how to do them, and therefore manage them.

⏰ The Distraction Zone is dangerous. It is the zone for activities you are passionate about, but might not be proficient / fast in achieving OR are a distraction from the move-the-needle activities that need to be done in your business. Eliminating them is necessary.

⏰ Finally, we get to the Desire Zone. This is the zone of activities we are passionate about, but also good at. This is where MOST of our focus should be in order to get our business to the next level.

Each of the above zones hits me at least once a week, but what about you - What zone do you find yourself in most of the time? I'm interested to know...!
