Here are some pictures of a grill shell we made recently to suit a
1934 Nash, we only had an original grill shell to use as a pattern, so first we cast a aluminium grill and then cut it and welded it to make it bigger to allow for shrinkage, we made the aluminium pattern 20mm longer and 5mm wider than the original so when the brass castings were made they would be the same size as the original grill shell, the last picture is the first 2 grill shells cast off the aluminium pattern ready to be drilled and tapped, then they will be sent to the chrome platers

Over the past few months we’ve been getting ready for the Lost Trades Fair in Bendigo next weekend. These plaques are just a little something that we have been working on in conjunction with Heritage Pattern making services that will be on offer over the weekend. We will have a working foundry display to show case how castings are made using green sand. We are lucky enough to share a site with Heritage Pattern Making services so people can learn and see the first steps into the casting process, the pattern making. So if your looking for a great day out why not head to the .

What a wonderful pleasure it was to work with Ron to replace a missing piece of history last year. For many years Albert Jacka’s head stone had been missing the Victoria Cross. When Ron was approached he set about making another to replace the missing one so that one of of most decorated servicemen could remain honoured. Ron has released a short clip to show the process of it being made and installed along with some background history about Albert Jacka.
Congratulations Ron on all your hard work.
