Most people obsess over their ads.

Audience targeting. Creative strategy. Campaign structure. CPM. Algorithm.

But if your bucket has holes in it, better ads won’t fix any of that.

I see it constantly: businesses throwing money at Meta when their landing page confuses people, their offer doesn’t make sense, or their pricing doesn’t work.

Walk the system first. Does each junction work? Does water actually reach the trees?

If your numbers don’t work on a spreadsheet, they won’t work in Ads Manager.

Fix the pipes. Then turn on the tap.

Meanwhile, brands are dropping $5K on “professional” creative that looks exactly like an ad. That sounds exactly like an ad. That nobody wants to watch.
broke every rule. 5 posts total. Everything in Reels. No consistency. No strategy deck. Just pure entertainment value.
The platforms are explicit about this now - boring costs more. Entertainment costs less. It’s an attention tax, and most brands are paying the premium rate.
Your competition isn’t the business down the road. It’s whoever’s keeping people on the platform longer.
Plan accordingly.

This is who Meta’s targeting now.

Not “interested in fitness.” But “watches gym content at 3:17am.”

Not “interested in self-improvement.” But “saves motivational posts at midnight, never acts on them.”

They know when you’re most vulnerable. When your defences are down. When you’ll click anything that promises to fix the life you’re scrolling away from.

The algorithm doesn’t care what you say you like. It knows what you do when no one’s watching.
