A new logo can absolutely make your business feel fresher, clearer, and more professional but if the strategy underneath hasn't changed, the colours still feel disconnected, the fonts are hard to use, the messaging is unclear, or the rest of your visuals are still going in different directions? The logo can only do so much. It's a bit like putting a new front door on a house where the floor plan doesn't actually make sense.

I'm Sam (they/them), the q***r and disabled branding specialist. When I work with health, wellness, and NDIS providers on logo redesigns, I look at the bigger picture: your brand strategy, audience, accessibility, colours, typography, and all the other pplaces your brand needs to show up consistently.

If your logo no longer feels like it fits your business, message me or visit my website to book your free discovery call.

Consistency is a system, not a personality trait.

You don't need to magically become more organised, more motivated, more disciplined, or suddenly transform into the kind of person who meal preps, colour-codes their inbox, and posts on social media with (suspicious) emotional stability. Most of the time, inconsistent content isn't actually a character flaw... it's a sign there isn't a clear system holding it together.

I'm Sam (they/them), the q***r and disabled branding specialist behind Angell Designs. I help health, wellness, and NDIS providers create content systems that make showing up online easier - clear content pillars, planned topics, branded posts, accessible design, captions that sounds like you, and a strategy that doesn't rely on you waking up every day with spare energy and a 100 brilliant ideas.

If your social media feels inconsistent, scattered, or entirely dependent on whether your brain feels cooperative that week, message me or visit my website to book your free discovery call.

Father’s Day can be a warm lovely day for some people and a complicated one for others.

Today I’m thinking about all the dads, stepdads, granddads, carers, father figures, chosen family, and supporters who show up in both big and small ways.

I’m also holding space for anyone finding today hard… those grieving, estranged, missing someone, navigating complex family dynamics, or wishing the day looked different.

However this day lands for you, I hope you’re gentle with yourself and the people around you today.

Your branding might have been ā€œperfectā€ when you started… but businesses grow, shift, specialise, and refine. What once felt aligned can start feeling really off.

I’m Sam (they/them) a q***r and disabled branding specialist helping health and wellness businesses create brands that feel clearer, more accessible, more human, and more aligned with the people they serve NOW. Not just the version of the business they used to.

If your branding no longer feels like it reflects your business, message me or visit my website.

Human-centred design means designing for the actual person on the other side of the screen not some imaginary version of them.

I’m Sam (they/them), a q***r and disabled branding specialist. For me, human-centred design means thinking about how people feel when they land on your website, read your content, or interact with your brand.

If you want a brand, website, or social media presence designed with real people in mind, message me or visit my website to book your free discovery call.

Brand guidelines make content easier because they take the guesswork out of showing up online.

I’m Sam (they/them) the creative director at Angell Designs and a non-binary and disabled branding specialist. We work with health, wellness and NDIS businesses to create brands that feel accessible, human, and easy to use across every part of their business.

When you have brand guidelines, you’re not starting from scratch every time you make a post, update your website, create a flyer, design a worksheet, or brief someone on your content. Your colours, fonts, logo usage, tone of voice, imagery, layouts, and accessibility considerations are already mapped out. This means your content becomes more consistent, more recognisable, and a lot less chaotic!!

If your content feels scattered and you’re ready for a brand that makes showing up easier, message me or visit my website to book your free discovery call.

Angell Designs started becaues I needed to build a life that actually worked with my own body and mind, not against them.

I was originally drawn to design because it gave me a way to turn feeling into structure. Colour, layout, space, storytelling.... it all made sense to a brain that has always noticed the little details other people miss. Over time, what began as a creative skill became something much bigger: a business, a purpose, and a way to help others communicate who they are with more clarity and care.

As my own lived experience with disability and inaccessible systems deepened, so did the way I approached design. Angell Designs evolved from "making things look good" into creating accessible, human-centred branding, websites, social media and so much more for health and wellness businesses.

If you're a health, wellness, or NDIS business owner who wants your brand, website, or social media to feel clear, accessible, and genuinely connected to the people you serve, message me or visit my website (link in bio) to book a free discovery call.

Your website might look fine at first glance... but it could still be making people work harder than they need to!

For health, wellness, and NDIS businesses, those invisible friction points matter greatly. It might be the service page that sounds nice but doesn't clearly explain who you help or the contact buttons that are buried to far down the page. It could even be the accessibility issues like tiny text, unclear headings, or layouts that feel overwhelming when someone is already tired, anxious, or searching for support with low capacity.

The tricky thing is that people aren't going to tell you they got confused. They're not going to email to say, "your website made me feel unsure." They'll just leave, delay reaching out, or choose someone else entirely.

If your website isn't turning visitors into enquiries, those tiny friction points might be part of the problem. Message me or visit my website to book your free discovery call today!

Today on Jeans for Genes Day, we are reminded that health stories often begin long before someone has the language, diagnosis, support, or even answers they need.

As someone who has lived with chronic illness and disability from such a young age, I know how intertwined health can be as it shapes your life, family, future, and the way you move through the world. Jeans for Genes Day matters because it brings attention to children and families impacted by genetic conditions, while also reminding us how important research, awareness, and compassion truly are.

I'm Sam (they/them) the creative mind behind Angell Designs, and my lived experience is a huge reason as to why I care so much about accessibility and humanity in design... especiall in health, wellness, and NDIS spaces. People deserve information that feels easy to understand, support that feels human, and systems that don't make already difficult things any harder.

If you're wearing denim today, donating, sharing a post, or simply learning more, it all helps the conversation moving forward.
