The client that asks for a $50 logo will:
- not respect your boundaries
- ask for 725482 changes
- stress you out
- cost your business money
- probably avoid paying you.

If a client approaches you and requests a $50 logo, here’s what you could say…

“Hey client,

Thanks so much for enquiring about my branding services!

My branding package includes:
- X
- Y
- Z
Investment: $$$ / $$$$ / $$$$$

I have availability on these dates to work on your project X X X

If you’d like to work together, let’s jump on a call at X time on X day

I look forward to working with you”

/ end of conversation.

It’s not your job to justify your prices.

It’s not your job to lead them to a cheaper alternative.

We’re not designing $50 logos.

What is brand awareness?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
People have to know you exist. And I don’t mean the whole world. You only have to exist in the mind of the people you’re going after. Your target audience. The people who will buy your product, or use your service.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What does it mean to exist?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You 👏 don’t 👏 exist 👏 if people haven’t heard of you. Just facts. People either need to recognise you, recall you when prompted, or you need to be top of mind in regards to a specific product or service.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Investing in your business: Accounting.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The very first thing I did when I decided to launch Be Wild (even before registering the business name) was talk to an accountant.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
They can help you with the structure of your business, bank accounts, invoicing, processes, investments, superannuation, and they submit your tax return at the end of it all. How good!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Right from the very first invoice, I put away 30% in a separate tax account. Then came tax time and my bill came well below the amount I'd set aside 👏 Huge shout-out to Scott from Beanstalk Accountants for setting me up for success!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This was the turning point, you guys. I realised I had money left over to invest in my business. This only took a WHOLE YEAR, but we got there.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So I sat down, and had a 1-on-1 meeting with myself (and my obvs).⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Where do I want this business to go?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
How am I going to get there?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Who are my actual target audience? (this has evolved since launching)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What are my brand values?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
How am I going to kick these goals?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
