We recently restored and re-built a medal set for a customer in Hervey Bay, QLD. Unfortunately, the original medals, inherited from his father, had been incorrectly mounted and were in a state of disrepair. A detailed hand polish, ultrasonic clean, and replacement ribbons have given this set a new lease on life.

This customer wanted to honor his dad by wearing his service medals on Anzac Day, but unfortunately they ‘fell apart’. Sadly, some medal mounting companies prioritise profits and compromise on quality. We've restored the original medals to perfection, guaranteed to last. The group comprises of: NZ Operational Service Medal, General Service Medal 1918-62 (w/ 'MAYLAYA' clasp), NZ General Service Medal 1992 - Warlike (w/ 'MALAYA 1960-64' clasp), and the Pingat Jasa Malaysia.

When one of the lads that you deployed overseas with, wants you to spruce up his medal group, the answer is always going to be YES!!!! A dismantle, ultrasonic clean and hand polish of his medals prior to reassembly, with brand new ribbon, plus the swapping out of his old brooch pin set up, for the new ‘Top Hat’ clutch pins. The newly released QLD Police ‘Remote Service Medal’ (paired here with the QPS Emergency Response Medal). This medal is now released and obtained via self nominations. This award recognises members of the QPS who have served in specific remote locations throughout Queensland for a specified minimum period of service, as follows:
2 Years Minimum: Aurukun, Bamaga, Cherbourg, Doomadgee, Hopevale, Kowanyama, Lockhart River, Mornington Island, Palm Island, Pormpuraaw, Woorabinda, Wujal Wujal or Yarrabah.
3 Years Minimum: Alpha, Aramac, Augathella, Barcaldine, Blackall, Bollon, Charleville, Coen, Croydon, Cunnamulla, Eromanga, Eulo, Forsyth, Georgetown, Greenvale, Horn Island, Hughenden, Hungerford, Ilfracombe, Isisford, Jericho, Jundah, Laura, Longreach, Morven, Mt Isa District (all locations other than those listed as a 2 Year location), Mt Surprise, Mungallala, Murgon, Muttaburra, Prairie, Quilpie, Richmond, Tambo, Tara, Thargomindah, Thursday Island, Torrens Creek, Weipa, Windorah, Winton, Wyandra or Yaraka. Submissions are direct to the QPS H&A unit.
