Some days I forget for a split second…
and then it hits me all over again.
Losing my mum didn’t just change me it changed the rhythm of our whole family.
She wasn’t just “Nan.”
She was the backup plan.
The voice of reason.
The calm when things felt heavy.
The person who always knew when I needed help before I even asked.
Life keeps moving school drop-offs, work, dinners, responsibilities
but underneath it all is this quiet ache that never really leaves.
I’m learning how to navigate a world where the support I leaned on so heavily is no longer physically here.
Learning how to be strong when I don’t feel it.
Learning how to hold space for grief while still showing up for my boys, my marriage, and myself.
Some days I cope.
Some days I don’t.
And both are okay.
If you’re walking through life missing someone who was your safe place…
you’re not weak, broken, or behind.
You’re human.
One day at a time.
One breath at a time.
Carrying their love forward in everything we do ❤️
