I’ve started work on a 1970 VW Type 3 wagon centre console. I am doing two versions: an original reproduction and also a modified version to fit some modern gauges. I’m looking forward to helping out on this one as the 1970s plastic is very thin and brittle and cracking in a lot of places!

A quick video showing a new back door window bracket, to replace the original metal and rubber part, for a 1970 LC Torana. This one is made from ASA and TPU with brass screw inserts (M5 size).

Work is progressing well on the Kei Truck fender flares and side skirts. We’re going to try a different design behind the front wheel - but it’s a fun process and we’ll keep pushing until we achieve the right look!

Eventually, it’ll be printed in ASA, primed and then painted, with the black inserts being carbon fiber (or at least ASA laminated in carbon fiber)

Scanned with my Creality 3D Scanner and also my EINSTAR and printed on my ELEGOO CC1.

I’m hoping to get a larger 3D printer soon to print it all in fewer parts.

Otter Lite vs Einstar Vega - a detailed comparison

In this video I conduct a very detailed comparison between the Creality Otter Lite and the Einstar Vega. This is because I regularly see questions asking what scanner people should buy, and there has been a lot of coverage recently for new laser scanners and I thought it was worth looking at two portable scanners that are much cheaper than most Laser-based options.

One thing I love about both scanners is the flexibility to scan without needing a laptop. Whenever I travel or go to clients I always bring one of these scanners for quick, easy scans with excellent results.
