Behind the scenes at the 2026 Mallesons Digital Future Summit. 🎥

Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve been on the road filming a series of live panel discussions across Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra, exploring some of the big issues shaping our digital future.

Eight sessions. Three cities. Plenty of cameras, and some pretty epic views from above the clouds along the way.

A little before and after from our latest shoot for Science

There's always plenty happening behind the camera, but the goal is always the same: create something that feels bespoke, polished and effortless on screen.

When should you use a paper roll?

When you want a clean, polished background that adds colour, supports your brand, and keeps the frame simple enough for text, icons or graphics.

That’s exactly what we did for this shoot with the team at UNSW Innovation Hub.

Fun setup. Great result. 🙌

From BTS to final result: a quick walkthrough of our latest interview shoot for .

A simple set-up, existing lighting carefully wrangled (with the help of a trusty bin bag) and a final grade to bring it all together.

Behind the scenes this week on a LIVE presentation for Sprint to the Finish 2026.

Live productions are always a team effort - fast-moving, tightly scheduled, with plenty of moving parts and a big focus on making everything feel seamless on the day.

We love being part of projects like this and supporting great clients like to deliver polished, high-quality video content. 👌

How good are live events?

Last month, we had the chance to film Growth Faculty’s LeaderSHIFT event in Sydney - and what a line-up.

One of the best parts of our job is getting a front-row seat to world-class speakers while doing what we love.

If you weren’t there, here are a few names well worth adding to your reading list:

Esther Perel: relationship intelligence and human connection
Steve Martin: influence through behavioural science
Dr Susan David: emotional agility under pressure
Michael Bunting: self-awareness that drives team performance
Ben Crowe: from pressure to presence: shifting the way you lead

An awesome event, great energy, and plenty of insights to take away.

A panel discussion isn’t just content. It’s brand positioning.

Bad audio, poor lighting and awkward camera framing can undermine a thought-leadership piece - impacting not only your brand, but the brand and credibility of your guests.

Yesterday we worked with HSF Kramer to kick off season two of the On Just Terms podcast, ensuring the production quality matched the calibre of the conversations.

Last week we had our first day back on set for the year with the awesome team.

Three locations.
Six video interviews.
Twelve different camera angles. 🙌

One of the questions we get asked a lot is:
“How many interviews can you get through in a day?”

And honestly… there’s no easy answer.

More cameras and more lighting mean more setup time, but they seriously lift production value.
More locations add variety to your footage, but also introduce travel and reset time.
Less experienced speakers often need longer to warm up and find their rhythm.
More questions mean deeper stories, but longer interview slots.

It’s all a balancing act between pace, quality, and people.

3 top tips for planning a busy shoot day:
– Don’t rush your speakers. Give them time to repeat answers and find their groove.
– Always factor in setup and pack-down time.
– Build in travel time if you’re moving between locations.

Great interviews aren’t about speed. They’re about creating a space for people to be themselves, so they can deliver authentic, meaningful content.

Kicking off 2026 with a bit of upskilling! 🚁

This'll open up a whole new level of aerial options for MOCO — from night flights and closer-proximity work, to flying larger drones with cinema-grade cameras.

More creative freedom, more complex shoots and more ways to get your story out there. 🙌

Big thanks to for all the awesome training!
