Last week we had our first day back on set for the year with the awesome team.
Three locations.
Six video interviews.
Twelve different camera angles. 🙌
One of the questions we get asked a lot is:
“How many interviews can you get through in a day?”
And honestly… there’s no easy answer.
More cameras and more lighting mean more setup time, but they seriously lift production value.
More locations add variety to your footage, but also introduce travel and reset time.
Less experienced speakers often need longer to warm up and find their rhythm.
More questions mean deeper stories, but longer interview slots.
It’s all a balancing act between pace, quality, and people.
3 top tips for planning a busy shoot day:
– Don’t rush your speakers. Give them time to repeat answers and find their groove.
– Always factor in setup and pack-down time.
– Build in travel time if you’re moving between locations.
Great interviews aren’t about speed. They’re about creating a space for people to be themselves, so they can deliver authentic, meaningful content.
