Clients who complain to me when their post from yesterday didn’t go viral overnight really have me like this! 🤣

Social media ultimately takes TIME to master! Most businesses that appear to be overnight successes on social media typically have years of consistent social media posting and community engagement behind them. But when it comes to going ‘viral’ online, there’s really no way to guarantee that – it can sometimes be extremely random! The platforms we use today, including Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest and Twitter in particular, all have their own complex algorithms. And whilst it may seem randomised (and typically can be), there are a few steps you can take when creating content to ensure you’re putting your post in the best place possible that will be more likely to engage more people and the right people (if you’re looking to actually see a return in your business.)

Anyone else out there with imposter syndrome? 🤔

'Fake it 'til you make it' seems SO REAL when you're a small business owner. Always looking at your competitors, always thinking 'what if anyone finds out I'm a fraud?'.

The thing is, you're looking at competitors who have already made the mistakes and gone through the hardship that you have! They might have been running their business for years - you can't expect to reach their success while you're just starting out!

You're also NOT a fraud. Own your skills, own your offerings, own your business. People come to you for a reason - because you're good at what you do.

How's that for a bit of a motivational Saturday! 😅 I'm all ears if you've got any more inspirational business talk in the comments. ⬇️

This can absolutely differ between months, but generally, I have a few favourites that I always seem to keep posting... Maybe I like developing content like this, or maybe it's something I know my audience loves to see - whatever the reason, it's always great to include content in your post calendar that you ENJOY posting! 🤩

↪ Announcements (eg. Personal goals, business milestones, holiday periods, out-of-office periods, etc.)
↪ Images of me! (My followers engage best with these ones 🔥)
↪ Relateable and laugh-worthy content for people in a similar role (Great way to develop friends, recognise competitors, and have some fun!)
↪ Bite-size information content (Eg. Tips, tricks, secrets, personal favourites, and pet-peeves - all within your expertise area.🕵🏼‍♀️)

Does content planning make you quiver at the thought? 🤔

I feel ya! Sometimes finding the motivation to actually plan and create some social media posts seems less attractive than organising your receipts for tax time. (And that's saying something! 😩)

So whilst I celebrated my birthday yesterday, I also was able to capture some awesome photos to celebrate my official graduation! 🎓

If you don't already know - I graduated last year with a Bachelor of Communication (Digital Media) with distinction. I apply the skills I have learned through my degree EVERYDAY through my business, and full-time work ventures, so I am eternally grateful!
