A client once told me she almost didn't book me because my website felt cold.
She said it didn't feel like me at all.
And she was right. I had services, prices, photos. But none of me.
I've thought about that a lot since I became a designer. Because that's the thing most beauty websites are missing β€” not better design. More of the actual person behind the business.
Clients choose someone they want to spend time with. Your website needs to show them who that is.

Three seconds. That's all you get before someone decides to stay or leave.
Most beauty websites waste them with a generic welcome message and a stock photo.
Here's what actually needs to be above the fold:
Who you help. Where you're based. One clear next step.
That's it. Simple. But most sites don't have it.

Save this and go check yours right now. πŸ“Œ

Most beauty websites look like a price list.
This is what happens when the design actually matches the quality of the work.
Lumière Aesthetics — a luxury skin clinic concept built to attract clients who expect more.
This is the kind of website that makes someone stop scrolling and book.
If your website doesn't reflect the standard of your work, that's worth fixing.

When I was doing nails I had no idea what I should actually be charging.

I just picked a number that felt okay to ask for. Sound familiar?

This calculator works it all out for you. Your costs, your hours, your products β€” it tells you exactly what to charge so you stop undercharging and start actually making money.

Talent doesn't book clients. Being known for your talent does.
I was a nail tech before I became a designer. I watched the most skilled people in the industry stay quiet while others stayed fully booked.
The difference was never the quality of the work. It was whether the right people could find them.
Word of mouth has a ceiling. A website doesn't.
That's what I help beauty businesses build. πŸ‘‡

Go Google your salon name right now.

What comes up? What does it say? What does it feel like?

Because that's what potential clients are finding when they're deciding whether to book you or someone else.

This is the first thing I check in every single client consultation. And most of the time it's where the problem starts.

Save this as a reminder to check yours today. πŸ“Œ

I opened my nail salon in 2013 with a page and a pen and appointment book.

No website. No online booking. Just word of mouth and a feed of my work.
And honestly? It worked. I built a client base. I kept busy enough.
But here's what I know now that I didn't then.

Facebook got me clients. It didn't always get me the right clients.
A website that actually shows who you are , your value, your vibe, your standard , that's what changes the kind of enquiries you get.

I learned that the hard way. From both sides of the nail desk.

This is one of the most common pricing questions I see from nail techs.
And the answer isn't what most people think.
A fill should cost less if it takes significantly less time than a full set.
But if your fills are running close to an hour? Your product cost is almost the same. Your time is almost the same. So why are you charging $20 less?
Most nail techs price their fills based on what everyone else charges. Not based on their actual costs.
That's exactly the problem the Nail Tech Pricing Calculator solves. You put in your real numbers and it tells you what every service should actually cost β€” fills included.
