Interrupting my usual Dummy Fairy reporting, to show off how much fun I had putting together my youngest son's 5th birthday GRINCH party! 🌲🌲
I make my kids 5th birthday a pretty big deal as it's the first proper party I do for them and when Fred said he wanted a Grinch Party I was like, well this is brilliant. We borrowed a xmas tree, I only had to buy 3 things (xmas sprinkles, a xmas tree pinata and order him a Grinch cheesecake as he loves a cheesecake and I didnt want to stuff it up!) Everything else we handmade in the weeks leading up to it! We painted the xmas bunting, made personalised gingerbread men, fruit platters, cupcakes! It was a super easy fun theme and it was such a celebration for my cutest lil man 🥹🥹🥹.

This special family finally got their doorstep visit today and I'm sure so many families can relate that giving up the dummy takes.... time! When you are about to embark on a big milestone, it's a lot easier to do if everyone is feeling happy, well adjusted and ready for the change! Little Eoin was supposed to be my most trickiest customer yet! But in actual fact, he was one of the easiest!! There was some big concerns that he simply wouldnt want to hand them over and with some guidance, a couple phone calls and the perfect timing, we were able to make today's visit happen when he was feeling ready and it was such a pleasure to meet him!! His big sister Isla got a special gift too as she was so looking forward to today's visit aswell. It's not every day a fairy appears on your doorstep!!!

So if you are hesitant that your dummy-loving child wont be open to a visit, dont be. I will make sure it is a joyful experience that will have you saying "I can't believe it was that easy!"

Next Wednesday!!!! :)

We’re very excited for our upcoming Story Time sessions with two very specials guests. Open to kids of all ages from babies, to toddlers or older children wanting a story.

Come along on Wednesday 23rd at 11am in your best fairy outfit. If your kids are struggling to give up their dummies make sure to bring them along too, because Julia can work her magic and help with that. If that’s not an issue come for the fairy themed stories and singing 🧚🏻✨

Come and join us the following Wednesday too on September 30 at 11am to listen to Isabelle read her fabulous new picture book ‘Herbie and the Big Clean Up’. There will be fun arts and crafts activities afterwards to keep the kids entertained 🦀🏝️

The results are in!
I entered my Children's Picture Book 'The Dummy Fairy is coming!' into a competition in April and now over 4 months later I got the results!
Definitely didn't win!! Haha, however one judge did give my story a 95% and a second judge scored it an 81%... How interesting how different the same story can be perceived by two different people! I was thrilled with all the feedback, especially knowing that my story has improved heaps since April as I've had it professionally edited and I also took on a lot of advice from a fantastic publisher who sat down with me for a full manuscript assessment! I have learnt so much!

Anyway so the current status is: The story is now patiently waiting in the HUGE piles of submitted stories with 3 different publishers and one agent. 🤞🤞🤞and there is one other publisher and one other agent that have openings soon that I am waiting for.

Over the weekend I got to visit the loveliest family who have known all about me for years!!! Each of Audrey's older siblings had the Dummy Fairy come to the rescue (once during the night and once by magic at a local fairy garden) so when it was Audrey's turn to say bye to the dummy they were all so excited to meet me in real life!!
Her sister even stood in as our professional bubble blower for the perfect photos! Haha.
Thank you so much for having me guys. It was such a pleasure and such a sweet moment for me. 🥰🥰✨️✨️🧚‍♀️🧚‍♀️

Very excited to be flying over to The Leaf Bookshop in Ashburton in 2 weeks for a special Fairy Storytime! It will be during the school holidays too so hopefully this might work out fabulously for families interested in some fairy fun! Storytime starts at 11am if you are keen. A great chance to introduce the Dummy Fairy to your little one in a friendly welcoming space.🧚‍♀️🧚‍♀️ Always happy to chat and cant wait to see this beautiful bookshop in real life! Xx

1.✨️✨️ Grab a neighbour/friend/cute nephew or anyone else that wants a doorstep visit and meet me at the same location. I only charge per location, not per child! So why not go halvies with someone else who also needs my services??!! 👌👌

2. ✨️✨️ Come along to one of my upcoming Storytime Sessions and bring along those unwanted dummies! I will never ever turn down a child handing me their dummies if you see me out in the wild 😂😂🧚‍♀️🧚‍♀️.

What is cuter than one little lady getting so excited about a doorstep dummy fairy visit?

The answer is 2 little ladies, that's what!!😂😂🥰🥰

Big sister Florence knew all about the Dummy Fairy as I visited her 2 years ago and remember her just being the cutest customer ever. Fast forward to years and this little girl has now been prepping her younger sister for her turn!

When I arrived it was just too easy. Everly handed over all her dummies straight away and then we got some happy snaps before I needed to fly back to Fairyland.

There was squeals of excitement, lots of smiles and when I returned to my car parked around the corner, I saw the time and the whole thing took only 5.35mins.

How amazing knowing that these pesky little dummies can be gone in just 5 minutes of your time, yet the whole event can also be fun and memorable! Gahhh it's just too good!

Thanks so much for the second visit girls.
