When I started WHO, I had a pretty romantic idea of “building something.”

For a few years it mostly looked like learning on the go, figuring things out in real time, and forgetting what a normal working day feels like.

In the start, you best believe there were times I questioned everything. The sacrifices no one sees. The fear of not making it.

But every single one of those moments built this.

This success isn’t luck, it’s the result of showing up when it was hard, trusting the process when I couldn’t see the finish line, and refusing to quit when it would’ve been easier to walk away 🤍

I think this is what they mean when they say to show up as your “authentic” self.

I know that a year ago I wouldn’t have believed this would be my reality, professionally or personally.

And from the outside, it probably looks like everything has just… worked out.
The truth is, growth doesn’t remove the hard parts. If anything, it introduces new ones. Different challenges with higher stakes.

As you grow as a founder, so does the responsibility. The pressure to get it right. There’s more to carry now with more people to think about. And less room to switch off. Which often means sacrificing time with friends and family in the process (yes, that means 12-hour days are the normal).

I’m still figuring things out daily, just at a different level than before.

A reminder that what you see online is never the full picture 💌

We’ve kind of built our own way of doing things. The five in question:

1. We send a full content brief every month, because clients are busy running their business. They shouldn't have to figure out what performs in ads on their own. That's literally our job.

2. We tell clients upfront that Month 1 probably won't be their best month — most agencies hide from that conversation. We lead with it. It builds trust and saves everyone from a breakdown at day 30.

3. We don't report on reach or impressions, we report on cost per lead and lead quality. Vanity metrics don't pay the bills.

4. We write ad copy that actually sounds like the client — not generic, not corporate. If we're running ads for a tattooist, it reads like a tattooist wrote it.

5. We tell clients exactly what needs to change, even when it's uncomfortable. A lot of our clients are new to ads. They don't fully know what they're walking into yet, and that's fine. But if the content isn't landing, we say so. If something on the sales side looks like it's costing them leads, we'll flag it. We're not sales coaches, but we're not going to stay quiet when we can see what's holding results back.

I didn’t grow up thinking I’d run a paid ads agency.

But somewhere along the way, something clicked. I started seeing what my life could look like. And once I saw it, I couldn’t unsee it.

There were times I had no idea what I was doing. Moments where I genuinely didn’t know if I was building something or just kidding myself.

But I kept going. Not because I had it figured out, because I didn’t have another option that felt like me.

And here’s the thing I keep coming back to: I’m still not where I want to be. Probably won’t ever be, in the best way possible. But two years ago, I would’ve looked at where I am right now and felt like I made it.

That’s the thing nobody tells you. The goalpost moves... but so do you.

Still building. Still becoming.
