🥸 Polling and research are not the same thing. It matters.
Polls measure opinion at a moment in time. Research tries to understand why that opinion exists, how stable it is, and what would shift it.
Both have their place. They're not interchangeable.
The confusion causes real problems when media polls get reported as research insights, or when quick omnibus questions get used to make major strategic decisions they weren't designed to inform.
A two-question omnibus can tell you a directional number. It can't tell you what to do with it.
