Many businesses run Google Ads for their own business name, even when they already rank first organically.
In many cases, this simply means paying for clicks you may have received for free.
If someone already knows your business name and is actively searching for you, your organic website listing will usually appear. Running a brand campaign can duplicate that traffic and use budget that could instead target new customers searching for your services.
Before running brand ads, ask:
1️⃣ Are competitors advertising under your business name?
2️⃣ Is your website already ranking first organically?
3️⃣ Could the budget generate more value by targeting service-based keywords?
Brand campaigns can be useful in certain situations, but they are not always necessary. Your advertising budget should focus on generating additional opportunities, not paying for traffic you were already likely to receive.
Not sure whether your Google Ads budget is being used effectively?
