So, I decided to make the move to Indonesia to learn more about my cultural background and document my adventures, track my dance progress, and hop

Thank you to everyone who came to my Balinese dance workshop - Intro to Margapati.

I loved seeing such a diverse group in the room.. from traditional Indonesian dancers, to waackers, contemporary dancers, and some of you with no dance experience at all! Absolutely love your openness to learn something completely new 🫶🏽

A few of you expressed interest in learning from complete foundations and basics of Balinese dance. If there’s enough interest, I’d love to put together another workshop focusing on the foundations of Balinese dance and intro to Tari Pendet.

Comment or dm me if you’re interested so I can get that happening asap before I head back to Bali!

40 ✨

My back hurts when I sneeze, I have questionable eyesight, my social battery dies faster than my iPhone, and I schedule my day around naps… but other than that, I’m thriving!

10/10. No notes.

There are so many things I could’ve done differently in life. But there’s no way of knowing if those choices would’ve made my life, back or eyesight better or worse. And if I had made different choices, I might not have ended up where I am today.

Choosing to follow my dreams, and to work on myself has changed everything. Since then, my whole life seems to be falling into place in ways I never could have planned.

So instead of worrying about what I could have or should have done, I choose gratitude... for everything I have, for the person I’ve become, for the people in my life, and for everything that’s brought me here.

P.S How much do you love my new branding designed by and of course he took the amazing photos to go along with it… except for the photo of me as a kid... obviouslyyy haha

Successfully completed my second evaluation, dancing one of my favourite dances, Tari Oleg Tamulilingan.

This evaluation felt a little less stressful than the last, even though I was a little less ready to perform this time. A couple of stumbles here and there during the performance, but we did it, and I somehow managed to come in at 2nd place.

Even though I still can’t completely tick this dance off my bucket list until I learn the partner section of the dance.. I’m happy to at least be able to tick off wearing the costume and perform half the dance haha!

As always, thank you for your guidance, and to everyone who supported me through my Oleg journey… especially all the kamen flicking tips!

All the best and success always to congratulations to everyone who participated in the evaluation 🫶🏽

Oh and of course thank you to MUA for making me pretty 😘

Guys! I think I finally memorised the first 9 and a half minutes of this dance…. Only 4.5 mins to go 💀 who wants to be my dance partner to learn the last part of this dance please! We start practicing as soon as I get up off this floor.

Tari Oleg Tamulilingan is no joke, my legs burn from the very first agem, and are practically jelly for the rest of the dance. But I love it!

5 days to go till evaluation day… let’s goooo!

P.S Love the new dance studio it’s everything I’ve been looking for in Denpasar 🫶🏽 I’m obsessed
