🛑 Behind the Fat Jaks Logo 🛑

In honour of our new stores opening soon! I thought I’d pay ode to the FJ logo itself!

When tasked with creating the Fat Jaks branding, the possibilities were endless. I went down a lot of avenues! Initially, I explored American-inspired typography, drawing on classic baseball and basketball styles. But when we looked at it all together, it just didn’t feel right. It wasn’t us…

So, I started from scratch. This time, the goal was clear, I wanted to create a modern, bold, unique identity that was ours and ours alone. That’s when inspiration struck — why not experiment with shortening Fat Jaks to just FJ?

At first, I placed the initials in an octagon shape, with the points facing upwards. It was clean, but something felt... off. 💡 After that an epiphany struck, the octagon shifted into a 🛑 STOP SIGN 🛑 — and suddenly, it clicked, FJ “Your first stop for burgers”.

It’s amazing how the smallest tweaks and ideas can shape a brand into something iconic. And seeing the FJ logo stamped on those burger buns? Well it's absolute perfection, both visually, and taste wise too, haha. 🍔✨

⚡ Late-night hustle for a groundbreaking company PlasmaLeap! ⚡

When PlasmaLeap Technologies handed us an urgent task last night at 5pm for an important meeting the next morning, we got to work immediately — a couple of hours, and a laser focus moment later, we managed to complete a professional and polished flyer for a super exciting meeting!

PlasmaLeap is revolutionising the way industries like energy and agriculture operate. With their innovative technology, they’re paving the way for zero-emission solutions. Mark our words! Soon they'll be a leader in sustainable energy technology, creating pathways to a greener future. 🌱⚡

🎉🍔 Animating the Experience at Fat Jaks! 🍔🎉

In the fast-paced world of quick-service restaurants, eye-catching visuals can sometimes be overlooked. That’s why I’m thrilled to showcase the exciting animation screens we’ve developed for Fat Jaks stores across Australia! 🌟

Our goal was to make the dining experience not just about great food but also about fun and playfulness. By mixing playful food titles with dynamic animations, we’ve created an engaging atmosphere that perfectly complements our cheeky menu items. From the iconic footage of our stores and interiors to the social culture that makes Fat Jaks unique, these screens bring our brand to life!

Originating from St Kilda, Melbourne, Fat Jaks has grown to 9 fully operational stores nationwide, with two more set to open before the year ends! 🚀

Boson Creative was there for Fat Jaks first store, and I couldn’t be prouder of how far we’ve come together. It’s been a privilege to be part of this national brand, creatively contributing to the joy and excitement of our customers’ visits!

Project Spotlight: New World by Ameera

This project holds a special place in my heart. I had the honour of creating the branding for New World — the first solo album by my incredible fiancé, Ameera. With breathtaking artwork by the talented Ravynne Phelan - Dreams of Gaia, I expanded on her vision, designing the album’s logo, back cover, spine, credits, track listings, booklets, and vinyl colour pressing. My goal was to create a branding and typography system that beautifully complemented both the sonic landscape and the visual art of the album.

Ameera's sound is a unique blend—modern and futuristic, yet steeped in ancient nostalgia, influenced by her multicultural upbringing as an ex-pat. The album weaves together elements of tribal, world, electronic, Celtic, and cinematic music. Watching her journey from writing the very first track when we met, to producing this masterpiece has been unforgettable.

New World has already made waves, winning awards and racking up hundreds of thousands of streams. Ameera's concept of “healing yourself to heal the world” is resonating deeply with listeners around the globe. I couldn’t be prouder of her achievements — and her unwavering dedication to create music that heals. New World is a powerful testament to that vision. Here’s to more music and collabs!
