This day 2 years ago my life changed dramatically at the very moment I took this photo.

At the time I took it. I didn’t know how or why, but something told me to stop and enjoy the beauty around me.

It turned out at that exact moment my 30 year old nephew Jayden took his own life.

I remember a feeling of immense peace. The feeling that followed an hour later was immense grief.

Jaydo, you were our little angel, our little ray of sunshine, always smiling, always laughing, always ready for a yarn and ready to crack a joke.

The warmth of your presence was always felt, lighting up every room you walked into.

While this light that once shinned so bright may have gone out, our memories of you will shine forever.

Love you to the moon and back buddy, and I still think about you everyday. 💔

Congratulations to Kim Yang 楊予菁 on her well deserved nomination for her 2026 released ‘Turn On The Lights’ album which has been named as a finalist for Debut Album/EP of the Year at the 2026 Australian Folk Music Awards with thanks to folkalliance.

Plus — “All Of You” (你的所有) and “Different And I Like It” （我喜歡不一樣）have both been named finalists for the Zulya Kamalova Award, recognising songs in non-English languages.

The The Grogans are back with a defiant anthem about refusing to settle for less. ‘Reasons’ channels frustration into momentum, pairing relentless energy with the band’s most dynamic and confident sound to date.

This single marks a major milestone for the band, after five acclaimed studio albums built on instinct, chemistry and a fiercely independent spirit, The Grogans enlisted a producer for the first time, teaming up with acclaimed producer and mixer Steven Schram (Paul Kelly, Crowded House, TISM, Mildlife), with mastering by Joseph Carra Carra.
