As a business owner, you're laser-focused on your goals - and rightfully so!

But did you know that neglecting your rest could be sabotaging your success? 😵‍💫

Taking time to physically rest is not enough. Your mind, creativity, and emotions need to recharge too.

Be honest... When was the last time you took a social media break? Or spent time in nature? Not resting could lead to decreased productivity, poor decision making, weakened leadership and stagnant creativity.

So how can you make sure you are well-rested and setting yourself up for success? Some simple ways to incorporate productive rest into your routine can include:

- Doing a puzzle at night instead of watching tv
- Do some colouring-ins
- Spend time at the beach or go on a bush walk
- Journalling about your day
- Scheduling regular digital detoxes (for example, I have every Sunday scheduled as my digital detox)
- Read a book
- Do a meditation
- Do some gardening

What a day on my plate has been looking like lately - meal prepped or easy to throw together edition👏🏼

I don't know about you, but I see all of these "what I eat in a days", and they are either super bloody complex to make (and that is the enemy of someone that forgets to eat or simply cant be bothered eating) or the foods contain so much S**T that doesn't align with my personal values.

While I will not be sharing calories or macros of my meals, this can be a good starting point if you're sick of eating like s**t but also don't want to spend hours in the kitchen.

All these meals and snacks can be prepared on a Sunday and last you majority of the week. I love to prep components of my food so I can throw things together for a lunch or dinner that takes me less than 5 minutes

Breakfast - Overnight Oats
Snack - Celery & Peanut Butter with Sultanas and Dried Apricots
Lunch - Greek-Inspired Chicken Salad with Brown Rice and a Homemade Honey Mustard Dressing
Snack - Green Smoothie
Dinner - Steak, Homemade Chips & Salad
Dessert - Milky Way & Mars Bar (bc its all about balance🤪)

When was the last time you took a REAL lunch break? Went for a walk without your phone? Sat in silence? Allowed your mind to wander?

Constant productivity is a f**king myth💁‍♀️

I want to preface that when I say doing "sweet f**k all", I mean f**king off your constant stimulation of the world. Just letting yourself intentionally BE. We now live in a world where we are constantly stimulated, whether that be watching tv playing, scrolling socials, background music - we never allow ourselves to just stop and sit in the moment.

This is where TRUE breakthroughs and realisations will actually break-through.

If you can't even nail the basics required to become the best version of yourself, how do you expect to achieve the advanced?

Achieving your goals, whether it be in your health, your business, your relationships, finances, etc. is going to require you to do things you have never done before and show up for yourself consistently through the big and small habits.

The way that you show up consistently in the small, seemingly unimportant habits, literally paves the way to achieving your goals - even more than the big habits you think will change everything.

Just remember, you need to learn to walk before you can run. 👀

As soon as your health is unstable, everything on that table becomes unstable, maybe some things fall, break, crack.

It’s time I formally introduce myself… Hey! I’m Kayla👋🏻

I am the owner of Kayla Paige Co.

I am an entrepreneur, wife, dog mum and self-development junkie🥰

I have a range of qualifications and certificates including a Diploma of Social Media Marketing and about to become a Nationally Recognised Nutritionist🥳

I got diagnosed with ADHD in 2023 and following my diagnosis and being medicated, I tried to make up for lost time and achieve everything I thought I should’ve in the 23 years without an answer. This led me down a dark path where I was chronically burnt out, to the point that I became so sick I couldn’t function.

Leading to me today, I have completed my studies in Nutrition and now helping people every day become a better business owner, mum, employee, wife, friend, and every other role you could possibly think of.

So you might be wondering, what does this bitch know about business? Social Media? Health? Nutrition? Mindset?

Well without falling too far down the rabbit hole, I am a multi-passionate human (AKA I get bored easily and need variety - thanks ADHD), this has meant that I have gone into a wide range of different careers - it also means I have a large HECS debt with no University Degrees to show for it 🫠

Nutrition is something I have been interested in since I was 15. Over the years I completed foundational courses on Nutrition and begun studying at University. I kept going back and forth over it. But no matter where I went, I always came back to Nutrition - the time just never felt right.

It wasn’t until 2023 when I became extremely sick that the importance of Nutrition and Health became so apparent in my life. I mean without your health, what do you REALLY have?

When I realised that a lot of my health issues came from the fact that I had COMPLETELY neglected myself in pursuit of building a “six figure business”, that’s when I knew things HAD to change.

I decided I would be that change not just for my own health, but for those that struggle themselves.

Within a few weeks of deciding I would study again, I received a scholarship to obtain my qualification in Nutrition (gotta love the synchronicity of timing).

& I’m on the cusp of FINALLY being a Nationally Recognised Nutritionist.

Meaning it’s time to start making the moves I have wanted to for years.

Am I scared? F**K YES!
Do I have everything worked out? F**K NO!
Am I doing it anyway? F**K YES!

Because the ONLY WAY that you can create alignment, is by taking action.

Hello friends!

It’s my birthday & it’s time for a change 🤪 (I would say cue the quarter life crisis but I feel like this year has been a crisis in itself so thank god I’m out🤣)

This year has been a whirlwind to put it lightly. With some incredible highs (like getting engaged and married🥳) there have also been some very low points.

But with all that has passed, it’s time to step into this new chapter!
