It’s the raw, unfiltered side of my work, so if you’re curious about what goes on when the camera isn’t rolling (or even when it is but things don’t go as planned), this is the place for you! 😆🎬✨

TC Perth is a place that’s very close to my heart. I’ve been a volunteer there since high school, and over the years, I’ve seen how much heart and effort goes into their rice dumpling tradition.

This year, I’m incredibly honoured to be able to tell their story and share it on the Cuisine Hub channel. The team spent about a month preparing and making thousands of rice dumplings, and I had the chance to spend two days with them capturing their hard work on camera.

Post-production took me about a week — it’s been a while since I last picked up my camera to film something I truly care about, and this project reminded me why I love storytelling.

Because of the nature of video editing, I had to leave out many meaningful interviews and stories. Some of those memories hold deep value, especially for the volunteers who are still wrapping rice dumplings this year.

When time allows, I’d love to find a way to share those unseen moments — they deserve to be told too.

It's a long road ahead, but I think I need to take some time to enjoy the moments that keep me going.

🎉 Milestone Moment! 🎉

Yay! I’m so happy to see the views on my most recent food story featuring Woodpeckers—it’s reached 169 views on Youtube in just 4 days! 😍
This is officially the most viewed video for Cuisine Hub so far, and to me, that’s something worth celebrating! 🥳

I started making my very first video back in September 2024, and the past 7 months have been a huge learning journey. From figuring out how to reach out to people (and handling the rejections too 😅), to filming, editing, and learning the ropes of social media—it’s been challenging but incredibly rewarding.

I know 169 views might not seem like a big number compared to many YouTubers out there, but for me, it represents growth, effort, and progress. And I’m proud of that. 💛

Thanks to everyone who’s watched, liked, and supported my journey so far. More stories to come—one video at a time. 🎥🍴✨

*My "1% better than yesterday" mentality*

I started Cuisine Hub wanting to understand why people enter the food industry and how they overcome the challenges they face. I also hoped to share their wisdom and experiences with a wider audience, and in turn, showcase the passion of the people behind the businesses. It has not been easy—connecting with businesses, getting a chance to meet with them, and asking them to share their personal stories has been a huge challenge for me, on top of learning how to film, edit, and build social media followers from scratch.

A lot of times, I have doubts. I wonder if this is the right thing to do now. I wonder if the time and effort are worth it. I wonder if I should just focus on being a mom and go back to my full-time job. But each time I get to do an interview, it brings me new perspectives on the world, on life, and allows me to learn new ways to film, edit, and see how much more I can do—even without experience in this field.

So, I’m keeping the "1% better than yesterday" mentality as my motto in creating content for Cuisine Hub. And I hope this 1% better will keep this channel moving forward and help it reach more people.

🌅 A Day in the Life of a Content Creator and Full-Time Mom 🌟

My day kicked off bright and early at 6:30 AM, thanks to my little early riser! After a quick morning routine, I dropped my little one off at daycare and headed out to Coogee for work. Left the house just before 8:30 AM, but the morning peak traffic made my trip a little longer than expected—took me a full hour to get there! 🚗💨

Once I arrived, I had an amazing conversation with Tam, the owner of Surfing Lizard Café. We dove deep into his passion for food and his big dreams for the future. So grateful for the chance to chat, especially since he’s turned down interviews from major newspapers! 🙏

There's just so much to learn from Tam, my Sony camera decided to quit on me—ran out of battery halfway through the interview!
But hey, that didn’t stop me. I ended up doing a spontaneous interview with Johnny from The Salty Dog Coffee Van, another gem Tam recommended. ☕️

By the time I got home just before 3 PM, I still had time to catch up on some housework and sneak in writing this post before heading out to pick up my little one from daycare.

Another day, another adventure. 💖
