When designing the Berry Street website, the Yump team aimed to capture their inclusive spirit. At the recent Good Design Awards, the website has received recognition for outstanding design and innovation!

The Good Design Awards Jury described the website as “Beautiful, calm, warm tone, crisply executed through the colour palette, typography, and panels and cards of colour. Clear navigation and wayfinding, and great cascading content structure, too.”

The Expression Australia website was recently bestowed a prestigious Good Design Award Winner in recognition for outstanding design and innovation. Over 200 Auslan videos were featured across the website to better serve and inform the Deaf and hard of hearing community.

The Good Design Awards Jury commented: “Laid out logically, accessibly and intuitively. It is evident that there has been a lot of thought and attention paid to the wayfinding aspect of this project. A clean and simple design that is a joy to use!”

Expression Australia, formerly VicDeaf, engaged the Yump team to redevelop their website using a user-centred, bilingual and bicultural approach. Short, sharp Auslan “signpost” videos that appeared as thumbnails on cards were extensively used to help Deaf users navigate the website, resulting in 205 Auslan videos across the whole site.
