Major problems on the internet tonight!

Everything slowly coming back online though :-)

Websites including the New York Times, Independent, and the site for the UK Government were returning errors and would not show up for users. Fastly and its CDN (content distribution network) was the cause, with the company later identifying the issue and applying a fix.
