Is your digital presence clear or confusing?

If your Facebook and Instagram all look and sound different, you’re likely losing trust before people even explore what you offer.

Here’s how to get aligned:
1. Use the same profile image or logo across all platforms
2. Keep your bio short, clear, and value-focused—say what you do, who you help, and how
3. Stick to a consistent color scheme and font family
4. Maintain the same tone across all posts—casual, polished, thoughtful, etc.
5. Focus your content on two or three recurring themes that support your brand
6. Make sure your visuals and voice support your core message

A cohesive brand builds confidence. When your audience sees consistency, they believe you’re trustworthy—even before they buy.

Use this as your mini-audit guide and realign your brand today.

Are You Turning Off Customers With Every Post?

Here’s the truth most small business owners miss 👇
If every piece of content you post is trying to sell, your audience will stop listening.

That’s why the 80/20 Rule is a game-changer.

🔹 80% of your posts should give VALUE:
– Teach something useful
– Share behind-the-scenes
– Inspire, educate, or entertain

🔹 20% of your posts should SELL:
– Showcase your product or service
– Share testimonials or limited offers
– Include a direct call to action

💡 Ask yourself:
👉 Out of your last 10 posts, how many were helpful vs. how many were sales pitches?
👉 Are you building trust before asking for the sale?

This rule isn’t about selling less—it’s about selling smarter.
The more value you give, the more people want to buy from you.

✅ Do a quick content audit today.
✅ Shift your strategy.
✅ Watch your engagement (and sales) grow.

What’s the difference between a good and bad email marketing agency?

A good email marketing agency cares about the clients business goals, looks at best software for them and makes sure that they focus on optimising the list growth for conversions, not sending volume!

If your agency blindly recommends one platform without finding out more about your business, or has a blueprint for how often you should send, run. In marketing every client is different.

Have you experienced the good or bad from above?

Did you know that has tags are no longer a ranking factor on Instagram.

So much so, that the head of Instagram dropped the news earlier in the year in one of his posts.

Which brings me to the point. If you’re still using tags stop. Only bots do this.

What to do instead.

✅ Focus on content that includes keywords and topics based on the content within the post. Keep it simple.

✅ Make sure to use natural language and don’t stuff keywords — Instagram is smart enough to know when you’re trying to spam keyword.

✅ If you’re creating reels, make sure to include description/titles explaining what it’s about and say out aloud what you’re talking about within the first three second (should be very similar to the title you’ve included on the video and in the description).

✅ Lastly, don’t forget to add captions for video content.

Are you still using hashtags?

The top five google tricks to rank higher in local search

If you’re a local business and you’re not using Google Business Profile you need to get onto this right away!

✅ Would you like to rank high in Google Search results without having to pay lots of $$ for advertising?
✅ Would you like customers to find out about your location and opening hours without having to call?
✅ Would you like the chance for customers to leave reviews about your business? See below...

Here’s the chance to rank higher without having to pay $$

In this post I go through the top five Google tricks you need to do to rank higher in local search results.

----

Tip 1 # Use GBP

What is GBP? GBP is a Free tool offered by Google, called Google Business Profile. It’s googles way of supporting local businesses.

GBP is hyper important because:
✅ You sit high up in Google search results
✅ People will quick glance to determine:
✅ Your location (if they have to drive)
✅ Your open hours (holidays, days of week etc.)
✅ Google Reviews

If you haven’t registered yet, search for Google Business Profile to set up a profile today.

----

Setup tips

Update the following:

✅ Business name (as registered)
✅ Relevant phone numbers and email addresses
✅ Stores location
✅ Website URL
✅ Business Logo
✅ Photos of the business (important)
✅ Key information about your business (Important)
✅ Social profiles (links to FB, Insta. Important)
✅ Areas that you service (think 10-20km radius)
✅ Opening hours (HYPER IMPORTANT)

----

Tip #2 photos

✅ Photos of your business will set you apart from the plethora of others who don’t do it!
✅ Add in a cover photo of your business (Location, staff etc.)
✅ Add photos of your location, staff, food.
✅ Use high quality photos (Us a photographer)
✅ Update regularly
✅ Don’t add photos that include lots of text -- AKA photos with lots of text (google will flag this as spam)

----

Tip # 3 Key business info
This is really important. Ideally you want to make sure that this page is updated with SEO in mind.

Tips:
✅ Keep language human readable - If you try and stuff keywords google will flag.
✅ Use keywords that are relevant to your business or service. Use the most important terms for your business e.g. Sunbury Plumbing
✅ 500+ words is a good starting point.
✅ Type in your description and then click on ask google to suggest description (Google knows best)

----

Tip #4 opening hours
This is something that I see time-and-time-again you need to make sure that you’re staying on top of this!

This is something that I see time-and-time-again you need to make sure that you’re staying on top of this!

People will search for your business through google to see if you’re open.

If you’re a retail shop, cafe or restaurant make sure to update holiday hours, whether you’re closed or if your hours have changed!

I cannot stress this enough. There’s nothing worse than a customer traveling to your business to find that you’re not open!

----

Tip #5 Reviews
This is by far one of the most important parts of Google Business Profile. This will help you so much.

The more positive google reviews, the better you’ll fare with click through rates and ranking.

My tip is to regularly ask for reviews.

If you don’t have any yet, goto your profile and click on ask for review and share the link with your past clients.
