Grateful to be part of this campaign with Linda and Hannah at Nambour Community Centre. As a migrant woman, this campaign has a place close to my heart and I hope that it helps shed light on the lesser known aspects of DFV.
Keep a lookout on the NCC page as the campaign progresses 🫶
Threatening to withdraw visa application papers or reporting someone to the Department of Home Affairs, destroying important documents or not allowing someone access to their immi account is a form of DFV. Know your rights.
If you or anyone you know would like more information or help regarding DFV, please contact Nambour Community Centre on 5441 4724 or visit http://nambourcc.org/dfvresources/
Throughout May, Nambour Community Centre is sharing a series of posts and information about Domestic and Family Violence. Many thanks to Carmen Ler from Apex Business Elevation for your support helping to raise awareness and put an end to the different forms of DFV against multicultural women.
