Things I’ve spent hours researching:

A new phone.

A holiday.

A kitchen appliance.

Things I barely researched for years:

The water I drank every day.

Funny how that happens, isn’t it?

Water is something I’ve become much more curious about, and I’m enjoying learning more.

If you'd told me a few years ago that I'd be regularly posting about water...

I probably would've laughed.

Water was just one of those everyday things I never really gave much thought.

Turn on the tap.

Fill the glass.

Get on with the day.

Then I became curious.

Not because someone convinced me I needed to change everything.

Simply because I realised there was far more to learn than I'd ever imagined.

Now there's a water ioniser in our kitchen, and I'm still learning as I go.

So if you're new here...

Hello. 👋

I'm not a scientist.

I'm not a water expert.

I'm simply someone who's become genuinely interested in one small part of everyday life that I used to overlook.

If my journey encourages someone else to ask a few questions of their own, then I'm happy to share it.

Thought of the day…....

I know most people who see my posts never comment on them.

I'm exactly the same with plenty of pages I follow.

I read.

I think.

I keep scrolling. 🤔

So if you're one of the quiet people who occasionally reads my ramblings about life, health and lately... quite a lot of water...

Hello. 👋

There's absolutely no obligation to comment.

I'm just glad you're here.

One thing I really appreciate about having our water system at home is simply how much a part of everyday life it has become.

There's no big ceremony.

No complicated routine.

It's just there.

And perhaps that's why I enjoy sharing about it.

I'm becoming much more interested in the small choices we make repeatedly than the big changes we make occasionally.

They don't make very exciting headlines...

but they're real life.

Something I want to make clear about all these water posts...

I'm not here to convince anyone that they need to make the same choices I have.

That's not me.

I simply found something that interested me enough to learn more about it.

I made a choice for our home.

And now I'm sharing some of that journey.

If it makes somebody else curious enough to do their own research, wonderful.

If not, that's okay too.

I'm much more interested in starting thoughtful conversations than winning arguments.

There was a point in my water journey when I remember thinking...

“Why have I never looked into this before?”

Not in a fearful way.

More out of genuine curiosity.

I'd spent years becoming more conscious about other things we use and consume.

Yet water had somehow escaped the same curiosity.

I think we all have things like that.

Things we've done the same way for so long that we've simply never thought to ask another question.

Water was one of mine.

One of the things I like most about making changes at home is when they eventually stop feeling like “changes.”

They simply become normal.

That's what happened with our water.

Walk into the kitchen.

Fill my glass.

Fill my bottle.

Get on with the day.

There's nothing exciting or glamorous about it.

It's simply become part of our routine.

And strangely, those little everyday changes are often the ones I appreciate most.

If you've noticed the machine appearing in some of my photos lately and wondered what on earth it is...

It's a K8 water ioniser.

I realised I've mentioned it without really saying that clearly. 😂

It's become part of our everyday routine at home, which is probably why water keeps appearing in my posts too.

There's quite a bit more to the story of why I chose it...

but that's for another day.

For now, mystery machine identified. 😊

If you'd told me a few years ago that I'd be regularly talking about water, I probably would have laughed.

Water was just... water.

Turn on the tap.

Fill the glass.

Get on with your day.

Then I was introduced to something I hadn't seen before, and it made me curious enough to start looking a little closer.

That curiosity eventually led to the water ioniser we now have in our home.

And here I am...

Still learning.

Still asking questions.

And apparently becoming the woman who talks about water. 😂

Life takes you in funny directions sometimes.

Something I've been reminding myself lately...

You don't have to agree with someone to be curious about what they're learning.

And you don't have to change everything because you've discovered something new.

Sometimes it's enough just to ask:

“Hmm... I wonder why I've never thought about that before?”

That's how my own water journey started.

One question.

Then another.

Then another.

I'm glad I stayed curious.
