🚀 Your "About Us" page might be the key factor that encourages supporters to donate… or to walk away.

Many not-for-profits in Australia dedicate a lot of time to perfecting their homepage and donation forms — yet they often neglect one of the most impactful trust-building pages on their site.

Your About page is where visitors determine:
✔️ Why your mission is important
✔️ If they can trust your organization
✔️ Whether they want to donate, volunteer, or get involved

An effective About page should:
✅ Clearly outline your mission
✅ Share an engaging story
✅ Demonstrate measurable impact
✅ Feature real individuals behind the cause
✅ Include compelling calls-to-action

Keep in mind: people resonate with authenticity, not vague statements.

If your NFP website states "we help communities thrive" — it might be time for an update. Specific stories and quantifiable results foster genuine emotional connections and trust.

At Web 105, we assist Australian nonprofits in creating clean, mobile-friendly websites that are designed to engage supporters and inspire action.

📉 Donations are slowing down.
But your nonprofit’s mission can’t afford to slow down with them.

With rising costs and changing donor behavior, Australian NFPs are facing a big challenge: how do you keep making an impact when funding is less reliable?

One strong solution that more organizations are looking into is Revenue-Led Budgeting. 💡

Instead of planning based on last year’s expenses, revenue-led budgeting helps nonprofits:

✅ Create realistic funding strategies
✅ Increase transparency & accountability
✅ Get teams to work together on shared financial goals
✅ Focus on sustainable community impact
✅ Adjust quickly to changing funding situations

The biggest change?
It shifts budgeting from “What do we want to do?” to:
“How will we realistically fund and keep this mission going?”

For growing nonprofits, this method can boost teamwork, donor confidence, and long-term sustainability. 🚀

If your organization is thinking about the future, this is a discussion worth having.

And when it comes to sharing your mission online, your website is more important than ever. A modern, mobile-friendly website can enhance engagement, donor trust, and community connection.

That’s where Web 105 can help. 🌐

📣 NFP Leaders — Are You Missing Out on Major Gifts Without a Clear Strategy?

Major gifts already exist in many Australian not-for-profits…
But without a structured approach, they often go underdeveloped or underutilised.

The real question isn’t “Can we receive major gifts?”
It’s “Do we have a system in place to identify, cultivate, and grow them?”

💡 When done right, major gift programs can become a powerful funding backbone for your NFP.

Here’s how strong organisations approach it:

✔️ Define what a “major gift” means for YOUR organisation
✔️ Build a dedicated major giving team to manage relationships properly
✔️ Identify high-value donors using connection, concern, and capacity
✔️ Create meaningful engagement through storytelling and personal touchpoints
✔️ Make confident, clear asks tied directly to impact
✔️ Recognise and thank donors in ways that build long-term loyalty
✔️ Track results and continuously improve your fundraising strategy

💙 Major gifts are not just donations — they’re relationships built on trust, purpose, and shared impact.

⚠️ But here’s what many NFPs get wrong:

❌ Treating major donors like regular supporters
❌ Lack of structured follow-up and cultivation
❌ Inconsistent storytelling about impact
❌ No clear system for tracking and improving results

✨ The strongest NFPs don’t leave major gifts to chance — they build a system around them.

🌐 At Web 105, we help Australian nonprofits create digital platforms that support fundraising growth — from showcasing impact to collecting donations and engaging major supporters effectively.

🤖 NFP Leaders — Should Your Nonprofit Use AI… or Avoid It?

Artificial Intelligence is everywhere right now.
From search engines to chatbots to data tools — AI is transforming how organisations work.

But for Australian not-for-profits, the real question isn’t “Should we use AI?”
It’s “Where should we use it — and where should we keep the human touch?”

💡 AI can be powerful when used the right way.

Great ways NFPs can use AI:
✔️ Analysing donor data and engagement trends
✔️ Automating repetitive admin tasks
✔️ Drafting newsletters or blog content (as a starting point)
✔️ Chatbots for answering simple after-hours questions

These tools can save time, reduce costs, and help your team focus on your mission.

⚠️ But some things should always stay human.

Avoid using AI for:
❌ Major donor relationships
❌ Final storytelling and impact messages
❌ Sensitive communications or crisis responses
❌ Personalised thank-you messages and supporter interactions

Why? Because your humanity is your nonprofit’s greatest strength. ❤️

Your donors and volunteers don’t just support a mission — they support people making a difference.

✨ The smartest NFPs use AI to support their work, not replace their voice.

🌐 At Web105, we help Australian nonprofits integrate modern technology while keeping authentic storytelling, trust, and human connection at the centre of their websites.

📍 Australian NFPs — Are Local Supporters Finding YOU Online?

When people search online today, they often type “near me.”
Whether it’s food support, community services, or volunteering opportunities — local search is exploding. 🔎

If your nonprofit doesn’t have a local-focused landing page, you could be missing out on the very people who want to support your mission the most.

💡 The good news? Creating a high-converting local landing page is easier than you think.

Here are a few smart steps to start attracting local supporters:

📍 Identify where your donors, volunteers, and clients are located
🔎 Use local keywords like city or neighbourhood names
📇 Keep your Name, Address, and Phone Number consistent everywhere
📰 Share community-focused stories and local impact
⚙️ Add structured data (schema markup) to help search engines understand your organisation
📲 Optimise your page with clear CTAs, trust signals, and mobile-friendly design

Your local community wants to connect with causes close to home — you just need to make it easy for them to find you.

🌟 A strong local landing page can turn online searches into real volunteers, donors, and community engagement.

📞 At Web105, we help Australian nonprofits design high-converting, locally optimised websites that connect with the right audience.

🚨 NFP Leaders — Is Your Email Marketing Stuck in a Groundhog Day Loop? 🚨

Sending the same newsletters and donation appeals but seeing low engagement? 📧

You’re not alone. Many nonprofits feel like they’re reliving the same email campaign over and over again — just like the movie Groundhog Day. 🎬

But here’s the truth: repetition isn’t the problem — irrelevance is.

📢 The good news? Small improvements can dramatically boost engagement with your donors and supporters.

✨ Here are 5 simple ways to break the email loop:

✅ Personalise your emails for different donor segments
✅ Write compelling subject lines that spark curiosity
✅ Tell real impact stories (show the lives changed)
✅ Keep your messaging consistent and authentic
✅ Send small appreciation messages — gratitude builds loyalty

💡 Remember: Your supporters may only see one email from you, so make it meaningful.

📈 When your emails are empathetic, consistent, and refined, engagement naturally grows.

Volunteers give their time. Clear communication is the least we can give back. ❤️

No matter the size of your nonprofit, strong volunteer communication is essential — especially heading into 2026.

A few simple ways to improve it:

✔ Get to know your volunteers (skills, interests, availability)
✔ Be clear and specific — less confusion, better results
✔ Use communication tools your volunteers already check
✔ Encourage feedback and open conversations
✔ And always, always say thank you

Want donators who stick around — not just one-time gifts?

More than 24% of households use some form of giving vehicle. People want to give. The real challenge is keeping them engaged over time.

A few proven ways not-for-profits can increase donator lifetime value (LTV):

✔ Track more than just donations — every touchpoint matters
✔ Make first-time donators feel truly appreciated
✔ Offer simple, visible recurring giving options
✔ Personalise communication (it can increase giving by 40%+)
✔ And don’t underestimate the power of genuine gratitude

When donators feel valued and giving is easy, they’re far more likely to support you year after year.

Your website plays a huge role in this. If donating feels clunky or impersonal, you’re losing momentum.

At Web105, we help nonprofits create clear, user-friendly websites that make giving simple, personal, and repeatable.

🐶 Chevromist Kennels Gets a Website Makeover!

Chevromist Kennels has been helping families find healthy, happy puppies for decades. Their reputation? Amazing. Their old website? Not so much. 😅

It was slow, cluttered, and didn’t fully reflect the professionalism and care that Chevromist is known for.

The goal:
Give the website a fresh, modern look — easy to use, fast to load, and trusted by puppy buyers — all while keeping the things their visitors already loved.

What we did:
✨ Rebuilt the site on WordPress using Elementor (easy for Chevromist to update!)
✨ Refreshed the design with clean layouts, crisp fonts, and high-quality photos
✨ Kept all existing pages and URLs for SEO continuity
✨ Optimized performance for fast load times on all devices
✨ Tested across browsers & mobile to ensure smooth browsing
✨ Provided training videos so the Chevromist team could confidently manage the site

The results:
✅ Mobile-friendly, modern design that builds trust
✅ Faster load times → happier visitors
✅ Simple navigation → customers find info & puppies quickly
✅ SEO preserved → all pages still visible online
✅ Future-ready platform → easy updates as the business grows

Chevromist now has a website that truly matches the quality of their brand — professional, reliable, and ready to connect families with their perfect puppy. 🐾
