Next up is Ngali, founded by designer Denni Francisco.

Denni is someone I’ve admired for a long time, not just as a designer, but as a woman, a mother and a leader in business.

Ngali is more than a fashion brand. It’s a platform that brings artworks from First Nations people to life through clothing and silk scarves, sharing stories of Country, culture and connection through every piece.

The video shared here is a throwback to Ngali’s runway at Australian Fashion Week, a special moment I was fortunate to experience in person.

What I respect most about Denni is the way she leads with intention. Building a brand that honours culture, supports artists and continues to grow on a global stage takes a rare mix of creativity, resilience and vision.

With International Women’s Day this week, I wanted to highlight some of the incredible women building powerful brands in eCommerce.

One of those brands is Pinky & Kamal, founded by Natalie Carusi.

It’s a brand I’ve personally loved wearing, which makes it especially exciting to now be working with them.

I saw something shocking this Black Friday!

$6.2B in sales & $5.1M every minute!

Despite everyone talking about it being a rough economy, people are still shopping and records are being made every year on Shopify!

I analysed the top 4 stores for Black Friday alone and found a similar pattern.. it’s almost as if they have the same web designer... lol

Here’s top 3 things I found on all of the highest performing stores -
- VERY CLEAR OFFER - Banner, announcement bar, cart, product page, collections page and menus.. every touch point I knew exactly what I was getting
- CART DRIVERS + Free Gifts + Bundles - High Value offers that made it a no brainer to BUY MORE - Hitting increased AOV
- LOYALTY & MEMBERSHIPS! Membership points and benefits clear. I’m not a signed-up member to any of these stores, however it was clear to me what I would get if I signed up.. Also playing the long game not the short sale win

Those are some crazy numbers mixed with some simple strategies that if done correctly can really bring it home!

Even in a “bad economy” the top brands keep winning because they understand their numbers and they remove any friction.

Yesterday I heard the story of a man that went from 2019 - hatchback humble beginnings to 2025 - $68million networth and Australia rich list.

If you’re in the ecom world and you haven’t heard of Jay wright, you must be living under a rock. Because he is the absolute G.O.A.T when it comes to learning how to run paid ads for your own product based business.

I’ve been following him since the beginning 2021, and I’ve seen his growth every year and the amazing things his achieved.. and.. it.. blows..my.. mind!

First hand experience of the amazing things his done with some of my own clients. What impresses me the most is his will to win and push through.

When he spoke about bottle necks and how he overcame some of his during his growth just inspired me so much that he actually made me walk away excited to have my next problem! He spoke about the most successful business owners knowing their problems and taking action on the biggest ones. And if you can’t see the problem, than that’s a problem in itself because even after you fix one problem, you’ll likely unlock the next level to this “game” and have to beat the next problem/level. So take it as a signal of growth.

Anyways.. even though I’ve followed his business journey since the beginning, I’m still blown away by the insights and learning he shares !
