We are honoured to have partnered once again on the Close the Gap Campaign Report — marking our second year contributing to this important national publication.

This year’s report, ‘Community Voices: The Pathway to Justice, Equality and Healing’, centres what matters most — the strength, leadership and lived experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Indigico Creative had the privilege of:
• Designing the full report
• Creating custom illustrated theme icons
• Supplying the cover image

This work is more than design, it is about storytelling with purpose - ensuring that the visual language honours culture, amplifies voices, and supports the integrity of the message being shared.

We are grateful to be able to contribute to, collaborate with, and support the Close the Gap Campaign, because it’s not just about reporting on outcomes — it’s about shifting power, embedding truth, and supporting pathways toward justice, equality and healing.

The very first project for 2026 was one that connected deeply with our hearts. 🐾✨

This special commissioned painting by our Founder + Managing Director, , is a portrait of a much-loved family dog, Macho — a handsome Puggle (Beagle X Pug) — told through Aboriginal art to honour his story, spirit and legacy.

As a business run by proud fur-parents of 2 dogs (who are absolutely more like children than pets), we immediately felt the weight and privilege of this piece. Some stories aren’t just painted — they are held, felt and carried with deep care.

Macho’s journey was extraordinary. Rescued from unimaginable cruelty, he went on to become a gentle, calming presence not only for his family, but for an entire community. Birds, cats, children and even reactive dogs were drawn to his peaceful spirit. He taught those around him about patience, trust, forgiveness and the true meaning of family.

Creating this work — Amy’s largest painting to date (acrylic on 30 x 40 inch canvas) — was both an honour and a responsibility. In January, we had the privilege of hand-delivering the finished piece to Macho’s family in Sydney on our way to the Sunshine Coast. Moments like that are why we do what we do.

Through Indigenous storytelling, this artwork captures not just how Macho looked, but who he was — gentle, wise, and deeply loved.

Thank you to Macho’s family for trusting us with such a sacred story. 🤍

Last week we had the absolute pleasure of working with the NSW Department of Customer Service and NSW Treasury at the 2025 Connect and Collaborate Aboriginal Supplier Expo at .

Our talented camera crew provided the official photography and videography, while our Founder & Managing Director ensured the event flowed smoothly and achieved peak deadliness as the Master of Ceremonies.

There’s not many things we love more than being surrounded by other amazing Aboriginal businesses - inspiring, encouraging and supporting each other on our journeys - but the most significant role that these events play is providing a platform for Aboriginal businesses to be heard, seen and valued, putting our voices front and centre to enhance and improve the way that government and corporate entities engage with us.

A very strong theme emerged from the voices of the Aboriginal businesses present -

🖤 we want long term relationships not transactions
💛 we want you to invest in us with your heart and your time, not just your money
❤️ we want meaningful reciprocity that creates meaningful impact for our people and communities, not isolated one-way engagement that just ticks a box for corporate KPIs

Thank you to Aunty Joan for welcoming us so warmly to Gadigal Country and to the wonderful DCS and Treasury Teams for your commitment to listening, learning and creating equity, equality and respect in a system that was not built for us.

You may not know this about us, but Indigico Creative is based in , so it’s very fitting that our very first official project for the year happened during the Tamworth Country Music Festival !

We were absolutely stoked to be able to work with and to capture NATSIMO’s 3-day songwriting intensive, RESONATE Country - the first program of its kind for the Indigenous music community and country music in Australia! It was a privilege to go behind the scenes and watch as magic was made at the Studio in Armidale, by some of the most talented Indigenous singer songwriters in Australia, then get to watch them perform at a TCMF Showcase.

Make sure you check these incredibly deadly mob out - Warren H Williams

🎄 Merry Christmas from our family to yours! 🎄

As a proud Aboriginal-owned family business, this season is a special time for us to reflect on the values that guide Indigico Creative — connection, culture, and community — and the people who make our work possible. We honor the wisdom of our ancestors, the power of our traditional knowledge systems, and the bright future and legacies we’re building together with our family, communities and every client that we have the privilege of working with.

This Christmas, we are particularly grateful for our family, whose flexibility, support and generosity allow us to do what we do. This year has been full of almost constant work trips, taking us away from home and our two beautiful kids, but thanks to two super Grandparents our kids have a loving home away from home whenever we travel.

Thank you to ALL OF YOU for being part of our journey—we’re excited for all that 2025 will bring as we continue empowering stories, amplifying voices, and sharing the rich tapestry of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.

From our family to yours, may your holiday season be filled with love, joy and belonging 🖤💛❤️

✨ Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! ✨
