Currently living La Dolce Vita… 🇮🇹

I’m away from my desk for a few weeks, with the plan to eat my way from Tuscany to Sicily 🍝

One of the perks of my job is the flexibility to work remotely. Campaigns don’t stop just because I’ve gone overseas. I've done a LOT of prep over the last month to make sure I can actually relax and soak up the holiday though! I’ll be checking in periodically to monitor things and take care of anything essential... but with the major legwork done, the goal is to keep that to a minimum. And perhaps share a few Italy highlights to my Stories along the way 😉

I was actually happy with my slap-together, Canva-created logo, but I was ready for something more.

The brief? Art Deco-inspired. Classy. Timeless. A little bit vintage. A whole lot more brand elements to play with.

Highlight of last month 👉 landing this coverage for NQIT

Matt, their systems engineer, moonlights as a comic illustrator (yep, even completing work for Marvel 🦸🏻‍♂️), and NQIT used his art for their "Saving Your Business From Bad IT" superhero billboard campaign around Townsville.

Pitched it to the Townsville Bulletin as a local human-interest story, and it landed a spot on the cover plus a NQ Weekend feature 📰

When a genuine story aligns with a great local brand, it builds trust an ad campaign simply can't buy.

Posting this photo a month late. Completely on brand for someone who's been too busy doing everyone else's marketing. 😅

It's EOFY, and today marks the end of my first full financial year in business. It's been quite the year!

Since January especially, it's barely slowed down - and it's been great. On the work front, here's a snapshot of what's kept me busy:
→ Clients opening second locations
→ Rebrands and new website launches
→ Creating and delivering two social media marketing workshops
→ A lot of Google Ads, and a lot of coffee

Behind the scenes, I've been chipping away at the business itself - what I like to call "micro" networking, identifying where (and how) I want to grow, upskilling in things that genuinely intimidate me (hi Claude Code 👋), and making some selective investments.

FY26/27 goals:
→ streamline day-in / day-out workflows (that's where AI upskilling will hopefully help 👀)
→ actually use an (incoming) fresh set of brand assets consistently
→ post photos before they're six weeks old 😂
→ jet off on an Italian holiday... without feeling stressed 🇮🇹

Thank you to every client, collaborator and cheerleader along the way. Here's to a big year ahead. 🥂
