Demolition always looks easy… until you see what’s involved.

These Kobelco excavators from Attcall are built to handle the toughest demolition work with the power, precision and control needed to safely bring structures down.

Behind every lift, every bite and every load is experienced operators, the right attachments and machines engineered for demanding conditions.

When the right people are behind the right equipment, the job gets done safely and efficiently.

When most of Sydney is asleep, the city keeps moving.

A full night shutdown in the heart of the CBD is a carefully coordinated operation where every minute counts. Crews, plant, traffic management and logistics all come together in a tightly controlled window to deliver critical infrastructure before the city wakes up again.

These are the projects most people never see, but they’re essential to keeping Sydney growing.

Proud to be on the ground capturing the people, machinery and precision behind another successful night shift.

Progress like this doesn’t happen overnight.

Every milestone represents months of planning, precision and hard work from the crews on site. Watching another section handed over is a reminder of what it takes to bring major civil projects to life.

These are the moments we love capturing at Groundlvl. The work, the people and the progress behind Australia’s infrastructure.

From behind the camera... to behind the wheel.

I recently had the chance to get behind the controls of the new Komatsu Australia HM460-6 and see what it’s capable of in real working conditions. Safe to say it didn’t stay clean for long.

As someone who usually documents these machines, it was great to experience them from the operator’s seat and gain a new appreciation for the people who run them every day.

Thanks to the Komatsu team for the opportunity.

Step 1: Read the manual. Step 2: Ignore how clean your boots were.

I had the chance to get behind the wheel of the new Komatsu HM460-6 and put it through some seriously muddy conditions.

From the upgraded safety systems, camera technology and diff locks to the way it handled rough ground and standing water, it’s clear a lot of thought has gone into this machine.

Big thanks to the Komatsu team for the opportunity. Full video coming soon.

From a derelict site to a future community hub ⚽️

The transformation at Riverine Park over the past 10 months has been incredible to witness, and right now one of the biggest milestones on the project is underway.

There are projects you film. And then there are projects you genuinely feel privileged to witness unfold in real time.

Capturing the delivery and offloading of the TBM for the Western Harbour Tunnel Project was one of those moments.

Standing beside a machine of this scale knowing what it represents for Sydney’s infrastructure future was surreal enough. But what makes this even more special is having documented parts of this project since the early stages, back when the roadheaders first began carving their way underground.

To now watch it evolve into full TBM operations is a reminder of just how massive these projects truly are. The planning, engineering, logistics and people behind it all are on another level.

Being trusted to document these milestones from ground level has been something I’ll never take for granted.

Massive respect to every crew, operator, engineer and team member helping bring this project to life. The scale of work happening beneath Sydney right now is incredible to witness.

More to come from this one.

Cutting through mud where most machines sink.

This amphibious Kobelco getting to work on the waterlogged ground out in the UAE built for conditions that stop conventional excavators in their tracks.

Floating undercarriage. Long reach. Full production in terrain that fights back every metre.

One of those machines you have to see in person to appreciate the scale of it.
