🤔 "How much are you spending on your marketing?"
Is this a good question to ask yourself? Does knowing the answer improve your existing situation?? Most marketing managers think so...
But...
Let's think about it for a second...
If you spend $1,000 on marketing and make $2,000 in return. How much are you spending on your marketing? The obvious answer is 'nothing' and the less obvious answer is "not enough".
Why not enough?
So we've established that you are spending money and have a positive ROI. How much more money can you spend and still have a positive ROI. The answer to this question should be the second most important piece of information to you as a marketer. The first most important piece is figuring out how you can increase the leverage so that no matter how much money you invest in marketing you can still have a positive ROI. And until you figure those two answers out, you are leaving money on the table and not leveraging your marketing machine well enough.
So let's re-phrase the question at the start of this article: are you spending enough on your marketing? 😎
