‎1️⃣ Promote products organically to your audience

You’ve spent the time building relationships and connections with your audience, now it’s time to promote your products and services! Create posts to post organically, showing off the goods (and maybe even sales!) to your loyal followers. Let them be the first to know about new products or services being released, and new sales and promotions you’re running.

2️⃣ Run targeted ads to your audience

With organic reach declining, organic posts simply won’t reach your entire audience. Utilize paid ads to extend your reach to your audience to reach as many people as possible! PRO TIP – make sure your visual is appealing, your brand and messaging are on point, your CTA is clear, and your offer is irresistible.

3️⃣ Use lookalike audiences to reach other potential customers

The great thing about having an engaged and ready-to-buy audience is you can use lookalike audiences to find new people who are also likely ready-to-buy! Create your lookalike audience based on your engaged following and implement the pro tip above and you’ll set your self up for streams of new leads and sales.

4️⃣ Set up Facebook and Instagram shopping

Facebook and Instagram have clued on and now released shopping features! You can add these to your accounts to enable followers to shop while still on the platform. Now you won’t need to redirect customers away from the platform for them to buy. Winning!

The fact is, social media is saturated with noise and marketing messages from millions of other businesses, all battling for the attention of consumers on the platforms. Without making a real impact on those you are targeting, you are going to get lost in the noise!

So how do we make an impact on our audience in such a crowded place?

➡️ Get focused and truly understand who it is that you want to reach with your content. Understand the goals, fears, problems, wants, needs and desires of the people you are trying to get the attention of.

➡️ Get your brand message out there through shoutouts and paid ads, through to relevant hashtag strategies and attention-grabbing images. Get in front of the people you are targeting and make your presence known!

➡️ Provide value and ask nothing in return. Solve problems, alleviate fears, help people achieve their goals. Provide massive value! PRO TIP – don’t just create content for the sake of “being active” or “being seen”. Always post with purpose, and always have a CTA.

➡️ Nurture your audience and DON’T go directly for the sale. People don’t buy from strangers; they buy from brands they know, they like, and they trust. Keep providing value, keep educating and keep entertaining.

➡️ Immerse yourself in the community. Become part of it and become an active member! Join the conversations that your prospects are having. Too many businesses are too concerned with how many followers they have.

To the point where they employ shady tactics like follow/unfollow, bots and buying followers. 🧐

Yeah, this might give you a bump in followers. And yeah, the number may look good (and may even make you feel good), but what is it actually doing for your business?

Nothing! 🙅‍♂‍

These tactics don’t benefit your business. In fact, they do more damage than good! All in the race to build a big follower count.

Instead of focusing on just the quantity of followers, you should really be looking at what you want to achieve in your business.

➡️ Do you want to increase your sales? Then focus on the Return On Ad Spend of your ads campaigns instead of your follower count.

➡️ Do you want to increase web traffic? Then focus on the share of social media generated traffic from your Google Analytics instead of your follower count.

➡️ Do you want to increase brand awareness? Then focus on your post reach, engagement and followers.

Sure, it's ok to look at followers, but you must also look at the quality of your followers; this can be achieved by looking at things like the engagement that you get on your posts.

Focus on what matters the most!

Follower counts are a vanity metric for a reason. It is a vain representation of your social media presence.

It’s not the amount that matters, but the quality!

You can have 500 followers who engage with you and buy your products or services 👍

….or you can have 10,000 followers who are fake, silent and don’t help you build your business. 👎

Knowing, liking and trusting is absolutely key these days for business success! 💪

Simply going in for the sale just won’t work! Consumes only want to buy from brands that they know, like and trust; it’s a simple as that.

The benefit for you is social media is a great way to do it. Your potential customers are logging in multiple times a day; you just need to show up and build trust with them!

How do you do this? Simple! Just follow the tips below and you’ll be well on your way to building super high trust with your market and smashing your sales. 💰

1. Humanize!

Social media is… well, social! And humans are social beings. Giving your business a human-like brand and personality increases how relate-able you are and builds real connections. Nobody wants to talk to a robot, so give your brand a personality.

2. Show up.

Your customers want to know that you are there all the time for them, which is why you need to show up frequently and consistently. Be there for them at every touch-point throughout the customer journey.

3. Interact & be in the community.

Talk to your audience regularly! Answer questions and give heaps of value. The more you immerse in your community, the more your name gets out there, the more authority you have and the more people want to hear from you.

4. Follow the 80/20 rule.

80% of your content on social media should be giving value, while you leave the other 20% for promotion and selling. Gary Vee summed it up perfectly; “jab, jab, jab, right hook!”. The jabs are value pieces of content your audiences gets FOR FREE, and then once you’ve build rapport and trust, you right hook them with the sale.

5. Be transparent.

Go behind-the-scenes at work and show your audience what your business is really about. Show off your awesome staff who make the magic happen or simply take them on a tour of your office.

Content creation can be a struggle for business owners! You already wear so many hats in your business; adding social media marketing and content creation to your busy schedule can cause all sorts of dramas! 😟

Fear not! Content creation doesn’t have to be all doom-and-gloom and a drain on your time. Check out these (number) hacks to speed up your content create! 💪

1. Have a topic pool

Creating a list of topics that are relevant to your business can keep the creativity flowing & content in your pipeline. A simple document with topics and keywords is all you need.

2. Understand your target audiences wants, needs, fears and challenges

Deeply understanding what problem your business solves for your target audience means:

• You keep uncovering topics to add to your pool, and
• You create content that speaks directly to your audience

You need to ensure you create content that your audience wants to consume, not what you want to create.

3. Batch your content creation

When you create your visuals, create all your visuals. When you write your captions, write all your captions. Complete one task for all pieces of content at a time; you will get into a groove and a zone and smash it out quicker!

4. Create templates

I strongly recommend Canva for your visuals. Create your visual, and then use it as a template for future creation. Why do this?

• It helps you create your visuals quicker, saving you time, and
• It sets a brand standard, so it keeps your content looking consistent

5. Repurpose existing content

Finally, repurpose existing content! Use the content you already have to make new content.

• Have you made a video? Then transcript it and create a blog.
• Do you have a blog post? Turn it into an infographic or take snippets and make quotes.

There are countless ways to repurpose your content! Use this handy hack to save time.

It's simple - your business MUST be on social media. You no longer have the option. You can be assured that your competitors are already there, and taking advantage of the lack of competition.

I recently ran a small Facebook Ads campaign for a local business client of mine.⁣

👇 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬 👇⁣

➡️ Cold Audience⁣
➡️ Lead Generation campaign⁣
➡️ Total budget of $35 per day⁣
➡️ Total duration of 3 days⁣

👇 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐬 👇⁣

We got 26 link clicks and 4 lead conversions for a 15% conversion rate. We SMASHED the industry average of 2.3%! 💪 ⁣

At an average value of approximately $1,000 per lead, we injected about $4,000 in 3 days with a ROAS x38! 😲 ⁣

What did I take away from this? ⁣

1️⃣ Even the dullest of industries (think “data recovery”) can have awesome results with Facebook! Where there is a problem to solve, there is a market and demand.⁣
2️⃣ The Facebook algorithm is super powerful! We kept targeting fairly broad, and let Facebook work it’s magic!⁣
3️⃣ You don’t need a huge advertising budget to get good results. These were completely new audiences and creatives too.⁣
4️⃣ Utilise buyer personas to invoke an emotional response. We drilled down on the real fears and issues faced by the audience.⁣

When used correctly, Facebook Ads can seriously fill your sales funnel with awesome, relevant and qualified leads ready for you to nurture toward the sale! 💰 ⁣

Man! Can’t life just be chaotic and unpredictable some times?! 😤⁣

One minute, business is booming and growth is amazing! You’re smashing out awesome content and kicking social media goals! All of a sudden...⁣
⁣..Work goes crazy and you work looooong hours⁣..Client work gets hectic and eats up your free time⁣..You get a promotion at work that takes up wayyyyy more time⁣

And then two weeks passes by and you haven’t posted on Instagram! 😭⁣

Ugh, doesn’t that just feel the worst? 😓⁣

𝐈’𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞!⁣

Life has gotten in the way of business. I haven’t posted as regularly as I wanted to. I’ve been swamped by my 9-5. Client work has built up and does come first.⁣

And that’s ok! You can’t be “on” 24/7 in business and life. You will miss things and you will be inconsistent.⁣ There will be times where you just need to take a breath and ride it out! 🏄‍♂️

Dust yourself off and have a break from time to time. Sometimes, it’s exactly what you need to keep powering through! 💪 ⁣The ones who matter most to you, and the ones who truly engage with your brand will be here waiting for you!
