Pimp Your Pockets
Artist Lacey Pockets, aka Sue Loveday, pimps your pockets to create what was once an old, unused clothing item in to one of your favourite wares. She was a fun, warm character, willing to share her knowledge and passion for recycled clothing, she gets you sewing and your ideas flowing.

Best time of the day to capture the perfect photo is either sunrise or sunset. You'll see the silhouette at sunrise and the texture and rust in the steel in the sunset.

Unbridled Freedom by Colleen Lavender
What is it about girls and horses? before I knew what one was, I wanted one! Many children feel this way, is this a cellular memory reminding us of how pivotal horses have been in the creation of society, or is it a window to freedom, the untamed energy and power of the animal drawing the viewer in?

What Lies Beneath by Andre Braun
Crafted in aluminium and precision laser-cut, this five-fin design symbolises the apex ocean predators lurking beneath our world's surface. Embracing to overcome our fears of the unknown and acknowledging that not everything is within our control. Nature operates by its own set of rules, and it is essential for us to live in harmony with it.

Shifting Landscapes by Jo Norton
This installation of six-foot ceramic totems reflects on Australia’s bushfire crisis and the profound impact of climate change, challenging how we view blackened landscapes. Encouraging us to draw on Indigenous knowledge, to reimagine fire’s destructive force as a regenerative power, exploring the tension between devastation and renewal.

Kilung Morunbul Jum by Left Ear Experiment by Shannon Best, Frederick Beel & Allen Lucini

Kilung Morunbul Jum, meaning 'Death by Smoke' in the Yugambeh language, is a powerful statement piece created by artists Shannon Best, Frederick Beel and Allen Lucini. This work draws attention to the devastating impact of to***co use within Indigenous communities, where 37% of Indigenous Australians die from to***co-related causes each year. Using metal as the medium, the artwork reflects the enduring and unyielding grip of this crisis. It compels viewers to acknowledge the profound loss and consider the price being paid. The piece serves as both a call to action and a plea for a healthier, nicotine-free future for Indigenous communities. suggested edit to: "Kilung Morunbul Jum, meaning 'Death by Smoke' in the Yugambeh language, is a powerful statement piece created by artists Shannon Best, Frederick Beel and Allen Lucini. Holidaying by Christopher Trotter
A visual detritus of sorts, along with faded memories, an old classic beach umbrella, a vintage automobile wheel and car chassis are playfully reinstated like a fragmented memory of a road trip from Brisbane to the Gold Coast that’s not quite right. “Honey that was 70 years ago! How am I supposed to remember that clearly?”

Adrift by Bill Dorman
This work addresses the loneliness and alienation of a forced diaspora, using bowed heads and broken masts to speak of enduring hardship in these travellers’ journeys. Seeking asylum is a human right and often a horrifying ordeal. Dorman empathises with people in these situations by using groupings of five; his own family unit size. Adrift refers to the barely sea-worthy vessels with minimal propulsion and high risk, waiting to be found or reach the shore, and also to the untethered and homeless state of the occupants.

Roll Models by Chainsaw Newton

A monumental dung beetle pushes a sphere of reclaimed waste, an ode to nature’s original recyclers. With charred timber forms and glossy black legs, the sculpture critiques our environmental impact while honouring resilience in nature. Locked in a Sisyphean cycle, this beetle transforms waste into potential. Australia is home to 475 native species, with 25 more introduced to manage cattle waste. These tireless insects remind us that working with nature, not against it, offers the most sustainable path forward. Helping nature, we help ourselves.

Master of Peace by Jai Hackl
This sculpture is made from the steel and timber left over from a devastating fire that destroyed the artist’s house and workshop, and almost claimed the life of his sister. In the aftermath of this tragic event, the pursuit of stand-up barrels became a way to find peace, to wash away anxiety. We all go through hard times, but not everyone gets to experience the redemptive power of being barrelled. Here, on dry land, that feeling is offered up to all.

Such a beautiful art gallery filled with more than just art.

No Colour in War by Emryn Ingram-Shute

No Colour in War is an installation that highlights the tragedy that unfolded in Ukraine when it was invaded in 2022. The structures initially derive their form from anti-tank obstacles, alternately termed Czech Hedgehogs. The appearance of anti-tank obstacles in a cityscape is typically the first visual intrusion that is experienced by a country’s citizens when faced with the threat of war. Through the deconstruction of their form Emryn offers a message of hope to all those suffering due to war.

Think Tank by Philip Darnton

Think Tank explores the looming threat of rising ocean temperatures and their profound effect on the delicate balance between land and water. This installation creates a space that is both introspective and grounded, evoking a sense of transcendence and the sublime. It invites viewers to embrace deep contemplation as the ocean slowly encroaches overhead, symbolising the gradual, irreversible effects of climate change. The interplay of light softly shimmering through the water conjures a meditative atmosphere, capturing the fragile beauty of the coastline. Yet this beauty is riddled with unease, casting a shadow of uncertainty over a world increasingly reshaped by a warming planet.
