Hi there! I think it’s time you met the face behind the brands 👋

My name’s Kim, and I’m the owner (and creative heart!) of Outback Pixels.

I’ve been working in advertising and graphic design for over 20 years, spreading a little creative marketing magic for brands like Suzuki, Allianz, Deutsche Bank, D-Link, Sugar Baby, Amadeus and many more.

These days, my passion lies in helping small and brave businesses build brands that feel as good as they look. I love combining strategy with creativity and intention with intuition to craft visual identities that are unique, bold, and built to stand out.

When I’m not designing, you’ll find me at the gym sharing my love for group fitness, lifting heavy things 💪, cooking up something delicious, or hanging out with my dogs and husband — loving life to the fullest.

… just obsessing over this rebrand for . The strategic brief was simple: Plan & design a rebrand that captures the joy and freedom of an Aussie summer while highlighting their commitment to local Western Australian ingredients and allergen-friendly treats.

We achieved this with a visual system that’s:

1. Boldly Local: Using iconic WA imagery styled like playful stickers.

2. Vibrantly Inclusive: With a loud, fun palette and retro charm.

3. Artisan & Handcrafted: Through custom, flowing lettering & hand-drawn design elements.

The final result is a look that screams: Suns Out, Tongues Out! ☀️

✨ A VIBRANT NEW CHAPTER!

Thrilled to unveil the complete brand refresh for Lickety Sticks

My goal was to bring the brand’s incredible commitment to local produce and artisan quality to life through a visual system that’s undeniably fun.

Here’s how we did it:

🥭The Look: Custom, flowing lettering gives the logo personality, while the sticker-style illustrations of fruit and local landmarks give that perfect handmade, artisan-casual feel.

🍓The Feel: The typography pairs a bold, vintage serif (for character) with a clean sans-serif (for inclusive readability), achieving a vibe that’s both nostalgic and modern.

🫐The Message: It’s a fun, family-friendly celebration of the fact they use No Nasties, just More Yum!

🎉 BRAND REVEAL! I’m so excited to finally share the re-brand for Lickety Sticks Artisan Icy Pops!

This project was a dream-taking an incredible, local, Western Australian product and refreshing the look to truly reflect its heart: Joy, Inclusion, and Artisan Quality.
The strategy behind the design:

Nostalgia Meets Now: We chose a bold, retro-inspired wordmark and a playful, scrapbook-style set of „stickers“ (hello, Point Moore Lighthouse!) to evoke those classic, feel-good Midwest summer holidays.

Vibrant Honesty: The bold color palette visually communicates the simple truth: these icy pops are made with fresh, local, seasonal fruit that pop with flavour!

Inclusivity: The entire system is built to feel fun, family-friendly, and inviting- just like their commitment to being allergen-friendly.

The final result is a look that screams: Suns Out, Tongues Out! ☀️

Natasha is incredibly talented – just head over to her website to get a feel for her style. It was important that Natasha’s website captures this uniqueness to stand out in a saturated market.💖
