Thank you twenty-third annus of Millenia Two, for another span of wonders both brilliant and blue.

Our ninth house-move undertaken when opportunity proposed. A seventeen-year, meandering full-circle closed.

New shire, new jobs, return to family and old mates... leaving climes and friends behind us sooner (which didn't feel great).

New truths discovered, and new challenges faced, with a few extra grey hairs now framing my face.

To resilient friends and family clinging on for the ride - much love and gratitude for your patience and the support you provide.

As we look to the new year in twenty-twenty-four, wishing you health and happiness greater than the year before.

Stay safe, and be kind to your future selves... let the fireworks begin, to the old year, farewell!

Just some of the delicacies and I can revisit in our dreams...

* Seafood soup
* In my opinion, the best vege laksa in Darwin in the Galleria
* Cheese burger
* 's egg hoppers and ridiculously tasty short eats (next level spicy fish rolls)
* Crispy, juicy water apples (chopped up on my brekky every morning)
* Daily Indonesian curry selection at - an institution
* Crocodile ceviche on betel leaves at - a magic spot for special occasions
* Vege rice porridge (in this instance with added pork)

Haven’t been to Gooriwaal (Yarra Bay and La Perouse) since high school days - directly across Botany Bay from where I grew up in Southern Sydney. Felt so lucky to be able to take advantage of a blue sky winter’s day and explore this interesting spot a little bit.

Site of Eastern Suburbs crematorium and cemetery, opposite Sydney’s container-stacked shipping port (bringing the work of Jeffrey Smart to mind), a couple of busy airport runways jutting out into the bay, first point of contact by European colonisers of the country we call Australia, and site of govt. and institutional abuse of First Nations peoples.

Gratitude for friends and family dear, for those we farewelled and those still here.
For catchups, conversations, and troubles shared - support and strength exchanged with souls laid bare.

So happy to finally have these babies in my hot little hands 🤗
( • 8 days to create incl. trawl through photos, finalise concept, create outlines template, paint with watercolours, scan paintings, deep-etch from background, then design cards
• 2 days to print
• 10 days to ship from Melbs to Dars - were due to arrive on the 8th )

Thurs 15 deadline, here I come! (Australia Post cutoff for interstate cards to arrive before Christmas 🎄)
