I seem to always forget that gravity is a thing when designing shots 😅

This shot of .au Plain Jane was one of a four-part hero shot collection.

Finding a leaf that was long and strong enough to wrap around the bottle, not too wide to overlap too much of it, and the correct colour, was a little harder than I had first anticipated.
Balancing the bottle and wrapping the leaf at the same time to get the right angle and show the bottom of the bottle was also something I didn't think would be a struggle.

But with a bit of trial and error, and post-production stitching together of three shots, I was able to bring the vision to life.

As much as I love pre-planning before shoot day, I am a strong believer in not working out every element beforehand. I think if I were to do that, it would really impact the level of creativity that goes into designing a shot.

This gallery was really fun to build and shoot. Let me know what you think. ❤

Rapid Sessions are just over a year old now, and even though I haven’t been giving them much love on here, you all keep finding me and making time to pop into the studio. Thank you ❤❤

Not all heroes wear capes. Enter, my phone.

This image for is a new addition to a gallery we started building together earlier this year. Even though this image was shot months after the original set, it needed to feel cohesive and continue the brand's visual narrative, as if it were all shot at once.

When a business grows, the imagery has to grow with it, and the reality is that new products, packaging changes, launches, and campaign updates happen all the time. The important part is making sure new imagery feels like the same brand and not like someone hit reset halfway through the year.

One thing I do before shooting is document how imagery is built. Lighting, styling, framing, all the little details that are unique to that brand. It means when we come back months later, I'm not winging it and hoping for the best. We can rebuild the setup and create something that sits alongside the original gallery properly.

This image was part of a new product release, and once we had nailed the crystal concept, I wanted to add an extra element of flair by making the crystals glow to frame the product. To do this precisely, it meant capturing the scene over a few shots and piecing them together in post.

This video was really fun to create, so I'm thinking about making this a little series. If you like taking a BTS look at my work, let me know.

AI product imagery is everywhere in skincare and supplements right now.
I see the hype; it's likely cheaper, faster, and easier than booking a shoot, but there's a cost that so many brands aren't pricing in.

I'm a sucker for options.

Especially when it comes to delivering galleries to my clients. I always ask up front where images will be used: website hero, grid post, EDM, paid ad, packaging. But we all know things can change. So, I shoot wide.

Positioning a few notches back from where I actually want the frame to sit, and then focus-stack images in post for clear detail. This method means every image arrives with built-in crop flexibility. My clients can pull a tight macro shot, a mid-crop, or a wide-context shot from the same image.

This is why I say shoot tight, you get one image. Shoot wide, and you get options.

One of the greatest compliments you can get as a business owner is a returning client. came back for round two, and we're currently in the middle of shooting their next gallery.

Last year, we built out their first styled image gallery to sit alongside their existing UGC and rendered content. And the brief was clear: hygiene product, but make it feel anything but clinical. We wanted colour, movement, and a bit of floating fun.

Incredibly proud of this one.

It’s all fun and games till it’s time to clean up.

The studio has been buzzing this month, and we are incredibly grateful that we get to build worlds and then clean up the chaos afterwards.
