Afternoon sunlight plays on the cascading water at Finch Hatton Gorge, Mackay, Queensland.

Hi all, this photo is of the Bedford Weir near Blackwater in Central Queensland. Taken during the wet season in 2018 when there was a strong flow in the Mackenzie River. I used a 10 second exposure at f25 to give the water that smooth look and accentuate the flow. The area is popular for boating, skiing and fishing with the catchment being stocked with fish including barramundi and saratoga. Often the road below the spill-way is impassable during the wet season due to flooding.

This is a picture of the imposing Wolfang Peak near Clermont in Central Queensland. The mountain is a part of the Peak Range which is a series of extinct volcanoes and this photo has been processed to look like an oil painting.
