I spent this morning at a persuasive speaking workshop with Juanita Wheeler of (TEDxBrisbane speaker Coach) at the and it honestly gave me a shock back into reality. A real “thaaaat’s the missing piece” moment..

One of the biggest misconceptions in business is this:
“My work speaks for itself.”

But it’s 2026. Every single day, people are navigating ads, brand messages, and marketing noise. The brands that win aren’t always the best… they’re the clearest.

So, the truth is:
Your work doesn’t sell itself. Your message does.
Not in a pushy way.
Not in a salesy way.
But in a way that’s clear, confident, and speaks directly to the right person.

If your potential clients or customers can’t quickly understand:
What you do
Who it’s for
What problem you solve
And why you’re the right person for them
Then, they won’t convert. Even if your work is incredible.

3 things persuasive brands do to win work and customers

1. They lead with the problem they solve. Not their services list. Not their process. The real pain point your ideal client is already feeling.

2. They speak directly to one specific person.
When your messaging is for everyone, it fees like it’s for no one. Persuasive brands make their audience feel seen, understood and cared for.

3. They make the next step obvious.
Awareness is nice, but action is what changes a business. Strong brands always guide people toward a clear next move.

Hey Sol Circle,

If there’s one thing I want you to know straight away, it’s this:

Most brands don’t look “cheap” because the logo is bad.
They look cheap because the brand isn’t consistent.And consistency is what makes people trust you.
Too many different “versions” of the brand exist.

Here’s what I mean:

3 different logo files
4 different font styles
colours that change depending on the platform
a Canva logo for Instagram, and a blurry PNG for signage
one vibe on the website, another vibe on social

Even if your logo is beautiful…
This creates subtle confusion.
And confusion = hesitation.

Open your:
website
Instagram
Email signature
Google business profile
Signage/menu/price list (if you have one)

Then ask:
Do these all look like the same business? Same fonts? Same tone? Same colours? Same logo version?

Recently, we teamed up with Olive Turkish Restaurant to capture their delicious dishes in all their glory. Armed with our new Sony Alpha IV 7 and the soft glow of the setting sun over the beautiful Hervey Bay, we shot a series of vibrant top-down photos that showcase the colours, textures, and heart behind every plate. Of course, the best part? Sampling the food afterwards. And yes, it was just as good as it looks! 😋 Swipe through the photos, results at the end!

Sol Struck Studio was engaged to refresh the visual identity of the Hervey Bay Surf Life Saving Club 🐋 an iconic community organisation with deep local roots. The goal was to modernise the brand while honouring its proud history, local culture, and connection to the ocean 🏖️

At the heart of the identity is a hand-drawn whale icon, created to reflect the region’s most beloved natural symbol. Paired with a clean, coastal colour palette and adaptable type system, the new branding communicates both trust and vitality - perfectly aligning with the Club’s mission to serve and protect the Hervey Bay community.
