So I was really nervous about making this post because, except for the fact that my description talks about being a copywriter for the spiritually immersed, I rarely speak about my spiritual leanings on this page.

Which seems bizarre right? Why would spiritually based business owners believe that I am a spiritually immersed writer that can speak their language if my page doesn't reflect that? I got thinking about it recently and I think the reason for this is because I was worried that speaking and posting about that sort of content wouldn't be "seen" as "professional" for the nature of a writing business. And so I think at times I've tried too hard to make my posts "professional" and not actually reflect me or my business! So I'm giving up on that because it's no fun being someone else right? So with that said, I'm announcing here that for the last few months I've been studying Astrology. It's something I was interested in as a teenager but suppressed, thinking it wasn't "cool" and wouldn't get me anywhere in life. I haven't made it public here because I thought people wouldn't see how it aligned with this business. But, because people are complex and multi layered and Astrology reflects that in so many ways that a lot of people aren't aware of, I've decided to let people here know that I am a Copywriter who has a professional side AND I am a spiritually immersed Astrology student.

I'm currently offering $29 natal chart casting and interpretations to increase my Astrology skills (your natal chart is what's pictured below but of course unique to you with a full breakdown of what all those elements mean). The interpretation of your unique natal chart can provide you with so much more insight and knowledge then the general breakdown of the one star sign that you’re probably familiar with.

That's a lot of time being spent online and a lot of opportunities to use your written content to serve your audience!

Why do you need a blog?

Quite simply if you're a business with a website, you need a blog.

Creating online content, which is what your blog is, is the quickest way to increase your visibility in search engines.

This helps bring more people to your website which helps you to sell more of your services and products that can help your audience.

Which is, after all, the entire point of your business 😉

So I'm not an Influencer expert by any means but I can appreciate the impact an influencer can have for a company. Recently I got wondering...we live in an age where social media is so prevalent has the title of Influencer become a legitimate job role? Like if a successful influencer (I'm not talking about the celebrity influencers who already had a following but normal people who have created a following simply by sharing their real lives, have become engaged in collaborations etc and managed to make money from doing so) goes for a mortgage application do they call themselves Influencers and have any issues securing funds for example? I'm wondering if places like banks acknowledge them as legitimate
money earners? I'm sure there are lots of teenagers around who are asked what they want to be when the grow up and they reply Influencer or social media celebrity because these roles have become so commonplace these days. I wonder if in 20 years time they will be even more, so much that the term influencer is as household name as doctor or teacher or truck driver? Or are we already at that point? Would love other's thoughts!

This sweet little face is the reason I haven't posted on here in so long!

As cute as she is, hers was a rough pregnancy (my roughest so far!) mentally, emotionally and physically, from day 1!

That, on top of wrangling 2 other kids, a full client list that saw me dedicating all my child free time to client copy and content, doing all the other things running your own business requires + just all the day to day life things saw the pressure of "having" to be all over my own business socials get the best of me!

Something had to give and for my own mind's sake my social media was the thing...and it sounds silly I know since I write content for a living, you'd think doing my own wouldn't seem so hard but my goodness it did for a while! When you're in the digital space you can definitely feel the pressure to have to be constantly online and I chose to walk away from that for a while. Focusing on the tasks that actually kept me in business (like client work) had to take priority.

Anyway, long story short, today I woke up and just felt like it was time to post here again! I'll be back from mat leave all too soon so for now I'm soaking in this babe as much as I can!
