I often get asked what I do when I'm not working. This is one of those things! I love DIY and using power tools when I can. This is a coffee table that we've had in our family for as long as I can remember...so maybe since the mid to late 80s? It's travelled with us from South Africa here to Australia and today I'm giving it a make-over! Thank goodness for the vac attachment on this little palm sander! It's hot af right now here Down Under and I'm able to work inside in the cool!

Some amazing nominees this year! Who gets your vote? I’m torn between a couple of these artists, but my top pick has to be Eric Gales ! I’ve not only seen him and his band tear it up on stage, but I’ve also had the honour of meeting him and his incredible wife LaDonna Gales - The Percussion Queen!

Triple J’s Hot 100 had me doing a proper listen-through 👀🎶

I recognised 16 artists (and yep, a few had multiple entries), which honestly made me pretty stoked, maybe I’m not out of touch, just selective.

Solid mentions to Ocean Alley and G Flip 🙌
My personal favourite entries though? Florence + The Machine Everybody Scream coming in at 78 and Parachute by Hayley Williams in at 81, but top favourite for me was #3 Dracua by Tame Impala ! Fremantle band Spacey Jane scored the most entries for an Australian artist with five in total, followed by Ocean Alley, Tame Impala, Ninajirachi and Royel Otis with four each and G Flip with thress 💪

Love seeing so many Aussie acts popping up multiple times, a good reminder of how strong our music scene is 🇦🇺❤️
